I liked it initially but it's quite rushed so there is no opportunity to see the emotions outside of the key dialogue. As a result, the reader may doubt what the characters' words try to convince us of

i thought the lying to save feelings was cute(extra) I'll write this now before I get swayed by the commenters I like complex feelings and characters such as this so perhaps that's my bias and perhaps it's because of how easily lies slip of my tongue (personal divulgence because the commenter saying "I'm inspired to try date old dudes" made me laugh)

I love that ending! I want to let it simmer in my heart so I'll come back to the ending later

“all the things you said that I thought were summer lies” really sensitive writing, I enjoyed this a lot!
