i thought the lying to save feelings was cute(extra) I'll write this now before I get swayed by the commenters I like complex feelings and characters such as this so perhaps that's my bias and perhaps it's because of how easily lies slip of my tongue (personal divulgence because the commenter saying "I'm inspired to try date old dudes" made me laugh)

i wish the middle aged man was with the old man in the end but maybe it's still sweet? the author wrote it really well so it's not jarring there being a high school student but it's still a high school student I liked sensei's meddling scene but I think I'd prefer if it progressed from there that high schooler got a sweet school romance and the old man got with sensei and by treating the younger's as just a crush, endearing, but nothing more the old man in this situation should have the understanding to do that even so, it was written really sweetly so if I don't think I can enjoy it well I enjoyed sensei being bullied from all sides (it's really cute, I love you boring middle aged man ♡)
