Dawn of the Dragon
fuck, hated this. So many misunderstanding js dragging it on. Sex scense were so abundant and yet so underwhelming, the ml had like no character development along w the mc. So much shit for what bro. Do not recommend
Betrayal of Dignity
Good, idk i dont rlly hate it for the eed flag ml, maybe cus im used to it. One of the few straight romances where i dont mind the smut. I fully think Damien was reasonable in what he did, so I dont rlly think of him as a red flag. He chose his wife over his unborn child because a child can always be replaced, but his wife was his one and only. For me, he made the right choice. This was really nice, and I liked many of their moments, like the one where theyre dancing. Really good.
Martial brother, please don't run away~
read the full novel, not gonna lie, its much better than the manhwa. Its much more comprehensive and has more info that the manhua doesn't include. Reading it made sense of a lot more things. I liked the story. Wang Xiaomie was a pretty nice character, I REALLY loved the side couple of the general though. I wish we couldve gotten more on them, did the general ever discover his true identity? The general hasn't been introduced here yet I think, or only briefly. But the general is basically a zombie general who is also immortal cus hes a zombie. He has red hair if I remember, and he carries around with him his "wife", a legless, rotting, basically a corpse, zombie. Their story was far more interesting to me, the general basically fell in love with his wife, the emperor when he was younger. The emperor pretended to love him because he was useful as a pawn, secretly hiding a WHOLE ASS WIFE AND KIDS from him. The general was then sent to a suicide mission on the battlefield basically, he told his soldiers not to follow him, cus he knew atp that the emperor wanted to kill him bc he was becoming too big of a threat. But they did anyway, and all ended up dying save from the general, who barely survived, the general, enraged, went back to the capital and killed everyone, including the emperor. Atp, he was already a vengeful zombie, he turned the emperor into a zombie as well as revenge. The reason why he keeps the emperor around still isnt bc he still loves him, but to torture the emperor by staying by his side, and also to remind himself of his past. HUGE plot twist though is that the emperor zombie ver died a long time ago from all the torture. Instead, the one in his body was actually the general's vice general, a servant who was highly loyal to him and loved him till the end but died in the battle. The servant was picked up by the general at a young age and he fell in love with him, he always hated the emperor bc yknow, and he actually did have relations with the general, sleeping with him on the battlefield, offering himself as a substitute for the emperor. At the end, he was literally begging the general to love him instead, bc of how much he suffered bc of the emperor. The general tells him that he cant, bc he made the promise to love only the emperor in his lifetime, but promises the servant to love whooly him in their next lifetime. Found them to be rlly sad, but servant dies in the battle and reincarnates into the zombie emperors body, he cant speak so he cant tell the general. But i hope the general later on knows, i think he does? Bc he starts treating him with more care, by the end of the story, the zombie servant can speak a bit i think and is more clean and has a wheelchair now. I wanted more on them honestly. Also perhaps some more on the dark skin guy, he was honetly a bit pitiful to me, he ended up betraying the main couple but he ended up regretting that too and the fact that he later discovers that the guy he thought he was dating was actually his grandpa??Like ohmygod.. He ended up practically insane ig, he sends the main couple a letter saying hes fine, hes sorry, and a single picture with him sitting in the middle of a couch, on either side of him sitting what looks to be a rebuilt version of the female puppet he was close with that died fighting the general, and a puppet that looks exactly like his now dead grandfather. That part was so insane it left my jaw dropped. This story was so good and the author seriousl has a knack for plot twists. But i js hoped we got to see more of he side characters,
Possessed by a Cotton Ball
read the whole nvel of this on novelupdates. Was quite good despite being a bit boring at times, the comedy made up for it. I prefer reading the novel because the art of this isn't really to my taste. But I still read this nonetheless just to see how they adapt it. My favorite character was Caleb(i think thats his name)'s sister, the one who repaired and cleaned Yuri as a doll everytime he got dirty or injured, which happend quite a lot. The novel doesnt have much smut, theres more in the later chapters. The most smut that happend was in the side stories, but i fear i will NOT be reading that even if they adapt it sometime in the future, its basically an alternate universe of what couldve been, in that au, yuri only considers the world to be a novel and thus has no attachment to the duke, he basically becomes a substitute for the og mc. He rejects the dukes love cus he believes he cant love the duke cus the dukes only a novel character and he believes he'll one day come back to earth. So the duke confines him and sxually tortures him to get him to submit, broke his ankles too. Its not js any sxual torture, that shi felt so extreme bro, yuri mentions a "three-headed horse" toy that he hates the most, and if im right in what im thinking, that shit HURTS. In that au, yuri tries escaping, but he only gets so far with his leg, and the duke catches him and is like "i thought you could atleast go farther than this" or smthing and reveals it was all a ploy, he knew yuri could never get far and revealed an opening on purpose. After which he proceeds to do more torture to the point yuri gets basically mindbreaked and responds to the dukes "i love you"s. The duke gets him to say he'll marry him and yeah it ends there. It felt so uncomfy to me despite me usually getting through extreme stuff idk why, maybe cus they were so healthy? and seeing a version of them that wasnt was highkey not it, also how real yuri's reluctance and pain felt. Honestly i think the authors true calling is in yandere novels
