I really enjoyed this one. It told a story of grief and moving on when a loved one dies in an interesting and meaningful way. I was really happy it delivered on all the emotions it set up in the beginning and didn’t sugar coat the controlling ex. It really made him seem understandable while also showing how much he hurt his partner, a difficult line to walk. Overall I think it was a really well thought out story.

Looks like an interesting story with the loyal top enamored by the wealth and intrigue of the bottom guy, kind of an interesting dynamic.

I did have a fun time reading it, but it’s not one of the best written stories I’ve come across. The main plot is resolved off screen without any input from our main characters, and it turns out they didn’t need to help fix ti at all, the grown ups did it all. And the side couple was clearly supposed to be mentioned or have some story time but was never mentioned until the author’s note at the end. I think the story was cute and had potential but needed some help from an experienced writer at the planning stage to set up the story more cohesively from the get go.
