Lady to Queen
Strong female lead, interesting plot, but incredibly boring and weak male love interest. For half of the story he acts like a cruel asshole, and in the second half he acts like a chastised child in need of mother's affection. I find their relationship kind of creepy for that reason. Imo the author did a terrible job setting up a romance between the two and making the male lead someone you can actually root for. I could barely make it through any chapter where the two had romantic interactions bc of how awkward and unbelievable it felt.
Lost Things
The King of Home Cooking
The story is solid and the characters well done. All throughout the story I was planning to give it a solid 4, but then in the last 10-20 chapters something happened that just put a sour taste in my mouth for the rest of the story... [Spoiler] I really hated how Jiho kept accepting the Producers advances towards the end. Like it honestly cheapened the whole romance for me a bit. Woohyuk had already confessed to him, and it was obvious Jiho felt the same way, but he ended up rejecting Woohyuk bc of the competition, which is like... ok fair enough. But to then accept the Producers advances towards you after that? When you're in love with someone else, and that someone else is lowkey waiting for you? That was just shitty (and totally unnecessary) So yeah. That's why it's only getting a 3 from me.
