The comments scared me away when I first found Profundis but it was such a good read - good thing I trusted my gut and still read it! Sure it‘s by no means fluffy and happy-go-lucky, but the plot was super interesting ! I'm happy he ended up with Commander! For me that was the only endgame. But still, poor Chan, he deserves someone good, too!! Didn’t like him at first but he grew on me "There’s something so profound and lovable and unique about Profundis - a paradox of imperfection and perfection - that really left a mark on me, and I’ll forever remember this work"
