i understand, everyone wants a happy ending. clodan did so many bad things to ray, he doesn't deserve redemption, so the fact that he was able to get one may be unsatisfying to some readers make sense. i, for one, thought it was nice although still unsatisfying. they redeemed his character very smartly.
