I kept waiting for a twist about the 9th prince is actually not a fool but instead he's scheming for his survival. That would've been amazing!! Unfortunately it's just a fantasy of mine lmao The art is very good and the story is entertaining enough. The prince is very stupid, but at least is universally know by everyone instead of only being clear to the readers. I actually like the asshole prime minister, he wants to use the prince but can't quite do it as he wants. Their relationship is fucked up but it's entertaining to watch. I had to bump down the rating bc there's a point when the entertaining becomes ridiculous. The naive prince has fallen ill a thousand times, the formula always being he gets mistreated by the ML > he gets sick and he's so delicate he risks death > ML rushes worriedly and saves him > rinse and repeat. The prime minister keeps doing more and more absurd stuff, apparently only to make the prince suffer. At this point I want the prince to get killed only so the ML can get shaken for real Chap 62: they said the little prince is dead and GOOD!! I hope so!!! I genuinely want for the asshole minister to regret everything I hope that if they bring the prince back (and they will) it's as a spirit or deity or reincarnated something idk I want this to have consequences Chap. 104 and NOT THE MPREG!!!! SISJSJKSSJSKSK

I can tell this is adapted from a novel bc there's plot and intrigue, I really enjoyed this! There weren't crazy plot twist or incredible moments, but I really appreciated how smart and resourceful Jun Qing is and how the MC comes to rely on him more and more. It has some tropes it could've done without (mainly the initial rape and the MC being very insistent on having sex) but I've seen worse and I still found the story enjoyable. I have a weak spot for "you underestimated me but I'm actually strong" and Jin Qing fits this trope, with the added bonus of the MC discovering that the one he treated badly is actually better than he deserves.
