-last ch i read: 198 -theme: emperor scum gong x shy beauty mute shou. Shen yu is mute and replaces the daughter of a magister(?) To become the emperor's (jun xuanxiao) concubine. They have a first night, and next morning the royal consort calls him. she hates him and makes him kneel until emperor comes and gets him. He takes him in his arms and yells not to dare harm his person. She doesnt know he is a man, hes hiding his gender, although emperor alr had sex w him many times lol. One night emperor has a banquet and people want to see his new concubine since there r rumors saying shes the most beautiful. Shen yu appears and shows a sword dance, emperor thinks he wants attention and gets jealous. Back in their chambers, emperor tortures mc, until guard finds him and cures him. Mc is scared of emperor, but guard arrives with clothes the emperor is gifting him, he wears them and when he goes to greet royal consort, she gets angry and makes him give her the robe, he does and she burns it, then brings him to her place and makes one of the servants poison him, this happens more than once during the time ml isnr there, until one night emperor gets angry that mc is "ignoring" him, but in reality he doesnt feel well and mc coughs blood. Physician comes and cures him, tells emperor he was given poison, emperor guesses its the royal consort, sends to kill her servants. Emperor makes them bring shen yu to water prison and see their death, royal consort is present and denies her involvement. VOL 2: - from ch 50 onwards... shen yu falls ill bc he was trying to kys and ate poison, cured from his muteness, hes still denying emperor, gong marries another consort, shou doesnt care, someone from his family/past clan comes (blonde guy), shou accepts to go with him after finding letter and discovering gong also killed his father, attacked while travelling, gong now infiltrated as mute guard and shou is getting closer to him, shou starts to like him, but grandpha wants him to marry blonde guy (not rlly his cousin but same clan), hes abt to do it fakely after guard (gong) ignores him, couldnt bc there was a battle going on, in the middle of it he discovers guard is gong and doesnt react well, gong protects him, shen yu gets to safety first and then friend brings gong, gong asks him and shou confesses there are more things he loves about him, recovery, everything is fine between them after going back to capital > MPREG -second cp: guy is searching for his friend who he thinks is an honorable guy, but hooks up with guy from brothel not knowing its really him (has a birthmark), prostitute guy tries to disuade him from keep looking but he refuses and says his friend is much better than him (prostitute). he realizes guy doesnt care about him so he leaves. months later he fins prostitute went back to his work, and general visits him everyday but honglian doesnt accept to see him. one day he does and makes business with him, gen asks him to come home and he accepts but as business, then stops coming, then he buys him again for several days, then general wants to do the same again but he got booked for other houses, next time he sees him hes wearing red and asks to marry him, he knows honglian and lian'er are the same person, he takes guy to his house, convinces him to marry CH 141 END OF S1? or first story S2: about the mcs son and the second cps son (adopted from a relative, orphan). qiyu is a bastard, but used to defend other mc from bullies and liked him when they were children, he comes back to city and starts treating him differently. theres an arranged marriage between them but qiyu doesnt want it, asks shou to end it, but he cannot bc that would mean his father would keep fighting in the border, so he agrees to marry, ordered by emperor aka previous gong father. he humilliates liqing on his wedding day and night, brings a slave (who seems to be previous prince from land that was dominated by shous father), and keeps him by his side. shou kowtows until bleeding, then gong finally accepts to go with him and basically noncons all night bc despite shou not wanting it, he feels he has to so that his family can live well, gong misunderstands every single action and thinks he only wants to climb up high status/control him. he gave him a pendant or sth when kids and gong throws it away, then shou goes back to looking for it, blonde slave guy has it, doesnt want to give it back and antagonizes him, gong sees scenes and believes slave. then liqing goes to visit his friend whos a doctor, news is that he has an uncurable disease, only survived one, so he will die. other prince enters and hears his condition, wants to get to know him. then shou goes back and gong says someone told him he was having a secret meeting w friend, shou doesnt want to tell him ab his illness bcause he wouldnt care, gong noncons him again. then theres a meeting with the other prince, he gets curious abt liqing, gong once again humilliates him but shou shows that hes smart and makes it go smoothly. other prince is interested and ask him to go with him to his land (doesnt know hes married). shou refuses. other prince has a meeting with emperor and crown prince and tells him he wants shou. crown prince hears this and gets angry, takes it out w him and rapes him (sth abt a pendant having their two names and hair). later shou does wake up >its bc of disease, other prince visits and asks crown prince to let him save him, gives pills to shou, crown prince doesnt know ab that, wakes up. then crown prince treats him a bit better until blond hair is punishdd and cp thinks it was li qing going behind his back since his father discovered he didnt to his homework. the day shou sees his father, he goes to crown prince and is angry he sees his son sick (injured hands due to humilliation). crown prince thinks shou went to him to whine, emperor is poisoned from food handed by li qing, crown prince thinks its him and sends him to dungeon, he is tortured to the end, cp goes there and burns him, lq tells him now he doesnt love him anymore. he is tortured and ml threatens him w his adoptive father, crown princess "confesses" it was him, ml told him his father would be executed in days if he didnt tell him which poison it was. second ml arrives and tells mc he can take him away, mc rejects bc he wants to save his father, asked the guy to look into poison, they discover its from the blonde slave, mls father gets better and he realizes it was a mistake. mc gets out of prison, now he is blind, he wont have time to recover bc he will die sooner but ml doesnt know, mc burns his stuff, even if ml asks him to forgive him, mc stopped loving him. he then announces hes asking for divorce in fron of ml, hi father and other people. ml throws a fit, saying mc has his mark and belongs to him, mc cuts the mark from his arm, ml gets angry, mls father tells him he should stop behaving like that and give him dignity/accept.
