I thought this was just a lighthearted and rare (non-rapey) omegaverse romance but it exceeded my expectations! As the story goes on, we get to know the two MCs deeper and their innermost fears and insecurity. They are communicating and tried to met in the middle along with what they lack. They definitely compliment each other. An ordinary but non-discriminatory kind alpha x excellent omega pulled down by society's perception.
