So yes he's more of a tsundere.. But as you read he discovers that it's more than sex, being told he's beautiful, getting jealous over a sister and realizing that the seme treasures the stuff he gave to him...After realizing this, this lead him to behave out of character. So yes shit happens and people realize their feelings later than expected.
