The Devil is a Handsome Man
Man this used to be my favorite webtoon, I even still have my self made poster hung up on my wall. I remember the joy this used to give me and how happy I’d be to read every update. I’ve been off webtoons for years, it’s sad to see it’s still on hiatus. Still 5 stars tho

Absolutely brilliant. Beautiful story. I shed tears countless times. This was the best vampire story I’ve ever read watched or seen in my life. Best enemies to lovers I’ve ever read. Was fucking insane Jesus that was so good I have no words to describe it the writing was brilliant. I loved this. This had everything twilight missed/needed and SO MUCH MORE. Fucking incredible. This manhwa portrayed emotion and sensuality so raw. Their eye movements, hand placement, actions, habits. Every character was alive as a character. The way yunsu would touch chae a so sensually jeez man my goodness that was HOT HAAATYY. I’ve never seen a manhwa show the significance of touch as well as this. He’d always be grabbing her, holding her, touching her. He noticed hee hair brushing against her and her foot near to his. The way his hand slides over hee throat, her arms, the way he holds her waist in his hands, touches her ear, tucks a hair away, embracing her entirely. Actions speak more than words, you don’t see this a lot in manhwa but I wish I did. I felt more emotion in these subtle ways than any other manhwa ever tried to show. A simple touch of a finger tip, shift of an eye, crease of a brow. Wonderful. Masterpiece.
Gorae Byul - The Gyeongseong Mermaid
I didn’t know this was a tragedy I thought it was a romance…. my Haesu… my Su a… my Ui-Hyeon… I never guessed it would’ve ended nor developed this way. The authors ability to express the complex nature of humans was unprecedented. No good and no evil, yet all good and all evil. All sides had a justification and all sides had a right. They did an incredible job of expressing that it’s never as simple as black and white. Also at showing the harsh cruel reality of their loyalty and love for Joseon. What comes from devoting yourself to your country as so. What judge kang said to the brother on his attempt to get his sister back really resonated with me. “If I sell out my country to make a living then I’m vile, but if you sell out your country to save your sister, then you’re only human?” it just shows that there were so many sides to it, I always wondered is someone who betray… man I’m too fucking tired to write this shit out fuck this 10/10 though. it really leaves you stumped though, look at how hard they fought… how determined they were. Yet they all died in the end, all of them died. I wonder if theyd regret it, or believe it to be worth it. Looking back they barely did anything at all, barely scratched the surface for Joseons reclaim. It almost feels as if they just threw their lives away. And yet you can’t help but cheer them on while crying along with them. You can’t help but congratulate them for their accomplishments and sympathize them. We question if they would do it all over again if they got the chance. But we know the answer. The passion for their love would never fade. Maybe this really was a romance all along.
