The scenario is a bit confusing because he's already dead but is then undead but then he is killed as an undead and is brought back to a "save point" where he is still undead.

Confusing. It's like they just reversed the genders of an already used story to make it less rapey. They treat the guy like a girl. It's also offputting that we started off in the empresses pov but changed to the MLs pov a few chapters later Ch 32
