Interesting story but apathetic FL. She has no intention of truly learning about her surroundings or abilities. I understand that she grew up in an environment of abuse and neglect, but the level of apathy regarding sharing pertinent info is absurd. Instead of explaining the situation of her not knowing a lot because of the 'accident' she only tells one person who has no authority to help her change anything. If she just let them know that they are working with a blank slate as far as her world knowledge goes, they would better know what she needs to learn and how to teach her to get her caught up with everyone's basic knowledge.
