Tale of the Yellow Dragon
With the screech of rubber and a crunch of metal, Dojin departs the mortal world, leaving behind his beloved sister and niece. He awakens in the kingdom of Yooguk, where the people call him “emperor” and serve a god named Yellow Dragon. Dojin soon discovers that Yellow Dragon called him to Yooguk for a purpose: to share his “life force” and protect the kingdom. As Dojin slips deeper into Yellow Dragon’s cold embrace, how far will he go in order to get back home? ----------- Quite sweet. There's not much to it besides this. I liked the endearing relationship that Yooshin (AKA Yellow Dragon) & Dojin had. It wasn't a story that I read thinking it was fascinating, let alone a masterpiece. But it had its fair share of emotional ups and downs, as well as likeable characters. It's definitely an enjoyable read for sure. The ending didn't feel rushed either, unlike most BLs' endings tend to feel. Instead, it felt really natural and made the plot come together. It also ended on an extra sweet note to boot, really nice.
Untouchable (massstar)
Story of a ditsy vampire longing to touch her love interest. ----------- I'm too tired to write anything more detailed than this right now so bear with me: It's cute. Knock yourself out if fluff's what you're in the mood for. Don't expect the deepest characters, neither the most genius-level-type plot, but they're all still interesting enough and it's not your run-of-the-mill storyline. It's an intriguing approach to the vampire trope, and though I did find Sia's character annoying at first, I eventually warmed up to her. Her and Jiho's romance does take time to develop, it's not shoved in your face after 3 chapters which is always refreshing. I do like that the author took the time to give Baryu's character closure as well, and Sihwan's character's role as a 'bridge' of sorts between the former and Sia. Seeing those three's friendship and interactions was something I found quite interesting. It's chill read if bored and in the mood for something simple.
Under the Oak Tree
The beginning after the end
Ch.155 ------ King Grey has unrivaled strength, wealth, and prestige in a world governed by martial ability. However, solitude lingers closely behind those with great power. Beneath the glamorous exterior of a powerful king lurks the shell of man, devoid of purpose and will. Reincarnated into a new world filled with magic and monsters, the king has a second chance to relive his life. Correcting the mistakes of his past will not be his only challenge, however. Underneath the peace and prosperity of the new world is an undercurrent threatening to destroy everything he has worked for, questioning his role and reason for being born again. ---------- I'm liking the pace so far, if handled even just a bit differently, I don't think it'd pass. It'd easily feel rushed. But somehow, this isn't slow-paced, yet it doesn't feel rushed either. I like the main character, he is interesting to follow and the plot's pretty intriguing as well. The Artwork's pretty nice too.
