// Complete // Being set in the 2060s, tbh I'd have expected a more futuristic vibe, but the author explained that she wanted to give a picture of a future that was not so much different from our present, so that's ok! Anyway, that's just a personal note based on my preferences that didn't alter in any way my opinion about the story, which is clearly an absolute masterpiece! Shimizu Reiko really outdid herself here: she put a tremendous effort into research and I was so impressed by that! From every little detail, it transpires clearly how passionate she was in creating this story! The psychological aspect and the characters' thoughts and emotions, while having to deal with such horrible cruel cases, were very interesting! Well, it may not be everyone's cup of tea (also for the faint of heart it may be disturbing), but I can say for sure that this is a must-read compelling, beautifully-written, unique work! Needless to say, I loved Maki and Aoki's relationship! Some of their moments were so fine and precious! That's love for me (even if Aoki himself hasn't really realized it yet haha) and no one can convince me otherwise! Man, at the very last page, I really wanted to read the letter that Aoki was finally able to write and send to Maki at the end!! Anyway I loved their every moment, especially in the last vol. and I liked the ending! Also, in that last picture, we see that Yukiko at last got married to that SP officer guy (the one that Maki assigned to watch over her when she was in possible danger and whom she threw to the ground thinking he was the one following her haha) and, more importantly, Maki caught the bouquet!! haha Perfect!! ≪❦❦≫ This is rare gem! The thing is there's not a final kiss scene, and I'd be lying if I said I wasn't looking forward to it, but the story was truly perfect regardless...a masterpiece for me! I loved the characters' interaction and the pace of the story and I grew fond of the art-style as well! It was a precious reading! I'm so in love with this!! So cool and so sweet! Another story by Suzumaru Minta that totally captivated me! Well, maybe it needed a bit more of closure regarding the mother of the uke, like a mother-son talk at the end, but, from the brief moment when she came across the seme outside the house, it seems she knows what is going on...she probably just needed time to come to terms with his son's sexuality. So, I think everything will be fine from there on. Anyway, I really loved it! It's a kind of story I always love to read, about teenagers exploring their feelings, experiencing things...simply falling in love! Also, I love this author's art-syle! > Some people thought the seme was actually also in love with the uke from before and still went and did it with a girl, but it's not like that. The seme, originally a straight guy, falls in love with the uke along the story. After he finds out about the uke's feelings (when he wakes up while being kissed by the uke, after he already had sex with the girl), the seme becomes conscious of him and can't simply forget it like the uke said. After the confession, he should've avoided going to sleep into the uke's bed to be considerate of him and of course if he was against those feelings. On the contrary, he goes to his house more often and observes the uke and his reactions to understand those feelings, including his own developing feelings and to confirm them. The ambiguous line where he says the truth is he can sleep in a room without AC didn't mean that he always used that excuse to sneak into the uke's bed, but that he still goes there every night even now because he's not rejecting the idea! The uke didn't understand why he still went there and thought it was just him being as always, but the seme was actually considering the idea. At the end, he clearly says he realized he also loved the uke when he saw him together with that girl at school and thus confirmed his feelings, after which we saw that he kisses the uke and then at home he masturbates using Shuu-chan for the first time. So, he didn't have secret feelings like the uke had all along. In fact, then the uke couldn't trust the seme's feelings right away, because he wasn't gay and they could have been momentary feelings. Lastly, the athour said that one element she wanted to put in the story was one-sided love.
