And by this, I don't mean to say that I like or support the violent and heavy issues portrayed here. It goes without saying, that such things, which unfortunately happen also in everyday life to so many people, are to be condemned. In fact, it's not a favourite of mine and it's not my cup of tea (apart from incest, which I like in manga). But what I mean about the story is that I think it was pretty interesting and well-written! Despite being obviously twisted, it drew me in. I don't know how it could happen that the author felt that she went off rail and that the story wasn't what she intended anymore. Maybe she received too many critics?? Well, only she can know. But personally I felt frustrated, because only two chapters were left to complete the manga and I really wanted to read it till the end. It's disappointing that the story got wasted, because it had potential and I think it was a good psychological story! Maybe it could have even been a 5-stars story! In the end, I gave it 4 stars exactly because it's regrettably unfinished. >>> [[SPOILER]] Based on what I understood from google translation, in ch. 6 of the novel version, Hyou goes to kill their father and, the day after that, he turns himself in. Then, it seems like, soon after his brother's graduation, he commits suicide in prison (?). In the end, Setsu goes to live at their cousin's family house. >> So, the novel version's ending is a heart-breaking tragic one. On Baka-Updates and here, the manga has a tragedy tag as well, but I preferred to not put the tag on the manga here, because in the chapters available there's not tragedy yet and the manga remains incomplete in actuality. So, I prefer to leave it at that. Then, if we consider the novel version, then it's tragedy through and through.

"I thought that if he kissed me, I would bite down hard...but I couldn't do it". ✹✹ Ogasawara Uki's best work! - I think Black Sun was one of the first BL with Stockholm Syndrome I ever read, if I remember correctly, and I loved it! After reading the whole story, I still think it's good. Personally, I prefer Stockholm Syndrome in a historical setting, because I love historical genre and I think it makes things more interesting: like the fact that the story is set during a war; the middle eastern slave-turned-general Jamal and the noble monastic knight Leonard are enemies (also with different religion, ideologies etc.); and Leonard is taken captive as a war prisoner...for me, these elements make the situation more "dangerous" and enticing! Moreover, the art is beautiful and the sex scenes are really hot and sexy! If the story went a bit deeper, I think it'd have been amazing, but still it's quite endearing (๑•̀ㅂ•́)و✧ [May contain spoilers] I loved Jamal and Leonard together. I know that there was rape, humiliation as a start of relationship, but I can't hate Jamal. He may be an outrageous man in the beginning, but IMO he's much better than Lord Francis de la Tour!! Since Leonard loved Francis, he innocently asked if he could sleep by his side for one night only, but the man told him: "God doesn't allow that kind of behavior"- just to end up raping him later! (╬￣皿￣)凸 Jamal never hurt him!! And from the very beginning, he was interested in that beautiful knight who stood before him, so I can see how he wanted to take him as his own....he knew punishment would await for him, but he wanted Leonard, not just as a mere prisoner!! "I just wanted to steal that man's heart and body". I myself was totally captivated by Jamal: if I were Leonard, I couldn't resist that man!! Oh my, in ch 4 p. 12 when he grabbed Leonard like that and said: "Leonard, I'm falling for you more and more" - I was already going crazy! I loved the development in Leonard's feelings for Jamal and, as they became closer, I liked them together more and more! ═══The only thing that kinda ruined it for me is when Jamal did it with that annoying Nicholas, and when he kissed Isaac in front of Leonard: they already broke up but even so they seemed too much close!═══ Anyway, Black Sun is really good and hot~♡

BL Novel by Aida Saki (Writer), Nara Chiharu (Illustrator) ☚☛ I love Aida Saki's stories...they're simply amazing! Esu, together with Nara Chiharu's charismatic illustrations, is the best! 4 intense volumes, filled with action tangled with dangerous romance, which pulled me in completely...For me it's truly a well-written masterpiece! I liked everything: the plot, the narrative structure, the characters and, of course, the erotic sex scenes! Without a doubt, what I liked the most is the interaction between Shiiba and Munechika. I loved their encounter, how they were so terribly attracted to each other, and then also desperately in love with each other, the development of their relationship, from detective and S to lovers, and the couple growth, through drama and passion. They're both interesting characters. Munechika is such an irresistible seme!! He's hot and strong, cool and charismatic, wild and sexy, and I could go on and on! Shiiba is a fascinating character, in his own way. I liked him as well, with his inner conflicts, his determination to find the one who shot her sister, and finally his growth along the story. I loved when he finally said: "I swear a million times. I love you, only you..."~♡ Ahh, reading this, I really felt so many emotions! Well, vol. 2 was actually so sad and heartbreaking. It was interesting and I loved to read about Nagakura & his S, Mao, but it was so tragic! [Containing spoilers - I cried my eyes out when Nagakura was shot, right when he was about to turn himself in, to face up to his crime of having killed Kunugi...and to think that Mao didn't tell him where the weapons were, because he wanted to stay with him: he thought that if Nagakura was to find them, then he wouldn't need him anymore...ahhh just thinking about it, I want to cry again...( T ^ T ) Also, in the final volume, there's the death of Godou, who, after all, was already beyond salvation and that was the only ending one would expect for him at that point...but I still think he was an interesting character in the story and interesting was also the part when his past was revealed, with all that twisted family situation. Being the result of an incestuous affair between his mother and his uncle (her brother), being then abused by that mother, whom he killed after she remained pregnant with his child...Godou couldn't not be a contorted character...] So, Esu is actually bittersweet, as there are also tragedy and sad moments in the story, but it's very beautiful. At the end, I liked that Kiri got pregnant with Godou's child...I thought her pregnancy was really simbolic. Also, when Shiiba and Munechika finally reunited, I couldn't stop smiling and being happy for those two...such a perfect ending!! I'm sure I'll never forget this story!
