Not Equal

Complete | ike reibun | 2010 released

"The rest of the world's reasoning and our happiness are not equal. But humans didn't originally live by the rules implemented in today's society, right? What is "right" in this world doesn't always reflect the ability to live earnestly...We met in an unreasonable way, but no matter what we're father and son...perhaps no one else can understand us, but...your happiness and my happiness...they're equal, right?" ️Ike Reibun's Masterpiece! A story of a forbidden but moving love to read and re-read! No matter how many years pass, this still remains one of the best incest BL! Some people may not like this story exactly because there's incest, but it's truly well-written and it has originality! And actually there aren't many father x son stories, because it's a delicate tricky subject to handle after all, but sensei took on this challenge and craftily created such a great deep story! An important story that absolutely cannot be missing in a BL collection!️ P.S. It's a happy ending! :) #Angst, Appearance Different from Actual Age, Artist, Character Growth, Father-Son Relationship, Fear of Abandonment, First Love, Forbidden Love, Guilt, In Love with Family Member, Loneliness, Loner Protagonist, Protagonist Lives Alone, Divorced Parent, Restrained Love, High-school Student.. > Father (36/37) x Son (17) // Note: In the time travel part, the uke was younger (14/15) than the seme (17) and the seme didn't reveal that he was the uke's son. > Extra: mangago.me / read-manga / libre_premium_2011/ mi / 7ca2be728a658fa6a33e35b46a8f9bd0_chapter-2 /

Showa Era // Post-War Reunion of Childhood Friends // Translator x Non-Established Actor > I always love to read stories with this kind of setting! The atmosphere here was great and overall the story was really good! Somehow, there were many elements that reminded me of Shouwa Genroku Rakugo Shinjuu and that contributed to give me that nostalgic feeling while reading that made me perceive the story as even more precious!

Kageri ni Komorebi, Sore kara Midori

Complete | Miyoshi Ayato | 2000 released

୧••୨ Miyoshi Ayato's first period piece...overall, it was not bad. I quite liked it! Although I feel it could have been executed a lot better! Especially the flow / development of the story was a bit weird for me. Compared to some other works of sensei, this was clearly a bit inferior... Btw, she said she really wanted to make Arima and Kuroki's sister Kikuko marry...thankfully that didn't happen! Well, Kuroki still tried to make them marry, to somehow have a link with him, but thankfully Arima refused. Otherwise that would have been so cruel, nothing good would have come out of it! All three would have been unhappy and miserable! In the end, Kuroki: "I came to a realization on my own that I wanted to take your hand...even if I had to throw my family and society away...I was thinking that all the while I..." - It's kinda sad that he needed an earthquake to finally be honest about what he really wanted and also take the decision to step down from head position, but well...all is well that ends well! #Taisho Era, Reunion of School Friends, 1923 Great Kantō Earthquake, Count / Head of a Noble House x Uni Medical Student

Kimi Ni Yoseru Blue

Complete | aoi aki | 2014 released

• Ch 1-3 Azaburu / Azaburu, waiting for the favorable wind / Kimi ni yoseru blue - «✿✿» Ahhh this is one of those pure, heart-warming slow-paced stories that I love to read the most! It soothes my heart~♡ The setting is really nice...I think it gives the perfect backround for this kind of story. And Sensei's art has a gentle touch, so it was very pleasant to read! I loved their interaction. In the end, what matters are the emotions a story conveys...there's no need for elaborate, complicated plot, when there are such precious, pure feelings! • Ch. 4 Night and go - Reunion of a kouhai and a senpai at the wedding of the guy for whom the kouhai had secrets feelings. #Gay Uke x Gay Seme, Adult Couple, Older Seme • Ch. 5 The never come back forest - Fox Spirit x Monk #Long-Haired Uke, Animal Characteristics, Shape-shifter • Ch. 6 Give up a rainy dream - Unique concept! A supernatural entity referred to as a script writer x his "target", the human whose life he's writing the script for. If script writers fall into a story, they become human. If they associate with humans, they will become humans themselves. With a single mistake, their jobs and immortality will be gone... > In the end, after sleeping with the uke, the seme wakes up feeling like he's been watching a very long dream. Then, he goes to work and tells his coworkers that he dreamt he could write scripts that would decide the flow of a person's life. It's sort of ambiguous because there're two reading keys: one is that he really became a human and forgot about his past self except for those fragments he thought to be a dream; the other one is that it was really all a dream. However, seeing in the last page his collegue script writer, I think it's the first option! Also, being now a human, a script for his life is being written too! In any case, it was interesting and different from usual plots. #Gay Uke, Youth x Adult, Age Gap, Older Seme, Height Difference, The setting seemed to be Historical / 20th Century
