One of the sweetest and most romantic story involving yakuza theme! Two total strangers having a coincidental (but maybe fateful) meeting and falling madly in love with each other with the newfound freshness and excitement of two middle-school students but with a maturity befitting of the grown-up men they're. Unbeknownst of their actual identity, they experience the gentlemanly and romantic love they dreamt of, but they're inevitably soon faced with the reality when they find themselves facing off as enemies in a clash between two rival yakuza groups! However, that will not affect their true love that will prevail over everything else! Ahhh that was beautiful! So sweet and touching at the same time! I loved the reference to the 1950 "Mona Lisa" song all along the story and it really felt like I was watching a movie of a love story that was so beautiful and pure despite its violent background! A true gem...Definitely one of Nishida Higashi's best works!

Cocky Baseball Player / Ace x Cruise Ship's Captain > I really liked the scene at the swimming pool when the captain touched Hidaka a bit again (leaving aside the initial contact at the beginning of the story, with the sexual assault kinda thing by the captain to make Hidaka leave the cruise at the next stop) and later on when they started to get really intimate. I liked the vibe going on! Then, when Hidaka was about to leave the ship and the captain jumped down with a rope, it was hilarious, but at the same time it was somehow an impressive and emotional scene! haha loved it!

Two related couples: • Toudou x Tamiya // Uni Students - The story starts when they're third-year students and it will progress till after graduation, when they're both working adults and living together, as we see in ch. 4-5, 8. • Toudou's younger brother Hiroaki x Tamiya's coworker, Professor Itou // Uni third-year Student x Professor // Older Uke - They are introduced in ch. 6. > Authentic homosexual love! All the characters are actually gay and the story is realistic and has a bit of comedy and drama! Well, personally I wasn't much interested in the story of the younger brother, but I really liked the main couple, Tamiya and Toudou! So, it's definitely one of my fav old BL!

[[Ex-Cop / Bookstore Clerk x Thief (Soon-to-be Ex-Thief) // Gay x Gay]] Interesting plot and charismatic manly characters, enhanced by that super cool art-style! The vibe was great..this is definitely the kind of story that captivates me!

[[Bisexual Seme x Gay Uke (Seme turned Uke)]] Personally, I'd have loved if they were a reversible couple, because I wanted to see Kuze as uke as well! But overall I really liked it! Many people commented about being confused. In fact, it's a kinda non-linear story-line with many flashbacks, but I think it's actually well-written! And it was real hot! In any case, if you read it twice, I think you'll have a clearer picture, because it's true that at first it may seem kinda jumpy, but the author made it so that, if you put the pieces together like a puzzle, you'll find a unique, interesting underlying story!
