ch121.5 mc reincarnates into body of little girl who is abused by her prostitute mother, but at 10yrs old she is sold to her father Duke Castielo. The Castielo family are rumoured to be related to demons, humans have an instinctive fear and hostility towards them, they have superhuman strength and healing, however they are bound by an oath to be loyal to the royal family and each king is entitled to request one thing from the castielos. MC is "mixed blood" as she doesn't possess the characteristic dark hair and red eyes, she has pink eyes and blond hair instead, while the unnatural pink eyes are proof of her heritage, she does not possess superhuman strength or healing, neither does she inspire fear in others, this places her in a unique position where others do not fear her and can interact normally (hence great for diplomacy), but also a target for kidnapping etc due to her vulnerability, especially magicians who would like to experiment on her. The Castielos also have an aversion to humans, but none towards mc who is mixed, hence able to feel love towards her and dote on her lots. ML seems to be MC's first knight/bodyguard, he is kind and gentle towards mc but prior to this he often got into fights and trouble, he is actually the younger son of the Leymonde family which is enemies with the Castielos, something happened and he left the family and joined the Wolves (Castielo knights). MC has long lost elemental powers, she binds to two elemental lords (blue wolf called Alpha, red dragon called End), risk of using elemental powers is to lose yourself and join the elemental world, however mc's castielo blood seems to give her body better durability than most. MC's powers are important as only elementals have the power to rejuvenate barren lands (there are many barren territories that are wasted). Mc was once kidnapped by a magician, a magician slave helped her (well tried to help her), so mc takes her in as her personal magician and named her Anne (red short hair). ML is currently being dumb after developing feelings for MC and also realising she has feelings for him, he dismisses her feeling for him as puppy love, thinking that she doesn't know the real him hence cannot truly love him, which is okay fair enough, but how he solves the problem? He decides to reject mc and leave the castielo family, he hides from mc his background and doesn't let her know that he is going back to inherit the title, his reasoning is that he will show her his true self as a "Leymonde" and that he will be able to measure up to her, and that his position would help him better protect her - fair enough reasons except that he DOESNT TELL HER. Instead he leaves her confused and heartbroken, and hating him. yeah way to go, smart decision there ugh. Love everyone in this story except for ML. Anyway, MC is trying to look for a way to break the oath binding her fam to the royal fam (she needs to locate the vessel that hosts the oath and break it - those bound by the oath cannot break the vessel cannot break it but she is banking on her being mixed blood), she is further motivated to do so due to the suspicions that she is an elemental (because mc revived one of the barren castielo lands), there is risk that the king will use his wish to ask them to hand her over, and this may spark war/hurt her family when they refuse to do so. There are rumours that the royal fam may force an engagement between mc and the crown prince (the empress is obsessed with duke castielo and is kinda delusional wanting to treat mc like her daughter, so her children grew up kinda twisted cause their mom is constantly comparing them to the castielos), mc's plan is to ask ML to pretend to be her fiance and break up with him when things blow over.
