These guys were so adorably feisty yet clueless. They really filled their progression from friends to lovers with chaos and angst, tempered with affection and a willingness to value each other. Two steps forward, one step back. But they made it and it was lots of fun to be cheering them on.

These two couples were beyond adorable, they were just so cute. The first pair with the novelist and teacher was my favourite. Watching Shun-san start enjoying himself and laughing with friends was sweet by itself, then adding his adoring gentle beast made for one of those feel good stories I always live to find.

Dance star Takato and the new member of the studio, Taiyo are the MCs of this lovely story. Taiyo had wanted to dance from the first moment his eyes connected with those of Takato up on stage. When his family move to Tokyo he gets to train with the man he has idolised for years, and when he inadvertently led Takato to thinking he loved him, he finds himself swept along in a new direction. I found these guys really loveable. They are dedicated and hard working with a love of their career that is reflected in their personalities. Truly a recommended read.

Opposites attract with the cheerful Kei and insecure Chiya. An established couple when the story starts, it doesn’t take long to realize Chiya is deeply in love with his bubbly seme, but is only comfortable expressing a gruff, even negative aspect balanced by loads of blushing. He is rather adorably awkward as he struggles to say the three magic words, “I love you” but ends up self sabotaging over and over. This story is adorable because we see Chiya’s self recriminations when he gets things wrong and how very much he wants to make his lover happy. It’s also adorable because Kei is the most loveable, positive and caring man; the sort many of us secretly wish for who can see through our BS and love who we really are. He is frothy and shining and sweet, but in bed he is dominant and sexy and alpha. What a great combo!

Two super adorable MCs in this story. It’s synopsis says the relationship is between a needy and possessive guy, but I didn’t really get inundated with possessive vibes from either character (though the seme was a little jealous on occasion). There was some neediness because the seme was head over heels in love, but I found loneliness to be the main emotion I noticed (empty home, no friends at school) for the seme and perhaps vulnerability for the uke.

Cute MCs and story. There’s something different about falling for a guy in a dog costume who doesn’t talk out loud much but that’s how these guys started together. It was sweet watching them overcome insecurities and unexpected problems with friends.

The MCs Dr Tomioka and Suzuka were such a good fit for each other. With Suzuka’s history and damaged self confidence in his personal life it takes someone kind yet forceful to batter down those defences enough to realize he is loveable and loved. I loved how everyone seemed to not appreciate unnecessary drama, it made sense given how both MCs had a history full of drama beyond their control. I also loved the sweet gestures Suzuka hesitatingly made to show Dr Tomioka mattered, like getting up to see him off at the door when he left. It’s lovely when sweet, thoughtful gestures are appreciated.

Revenge plot targeting his bully. A dark sister with a knack for potions. A friend with a penchant for nosebleeds. This story was off the wall fun and unpredictable. The 2 MCs are a rebellious, delinquent style bully and his rebellious, gloomy victim. When the tables are turned with a clever plot, these 2 guys are both in for some surprises. Lots of fun, beautiful art and some nice erotic moments, this is well worth a read.

One of my favourite kinds of stories, the childhood best friends to lovers, and this was done well. Both MCs were likeable and protective of each other. The friendship circle were also relatable and added a touch of humour to the story as well as being supportive. I just love when my favourite kind of story is created as well as this one.

The editor (Chiaki) and the yaoi manga artist (Mr Hojyo). These guys were so cute together, especially the puppy like Chiaki who found himself going above and beyond to help his new client. I really liked both MCs and the seme was very sexy with a kinky, experimental side that was fun.
