Short, fluffy love at first sight for an alpha who spots a reclusive omega.

Enjoyable, fast paced and a little confusing along the way, but by the end it makes sense. Great chemistry between the characters and nice artwork.

Omegaverse beast human society with beast heads and tails but human shaped bodies. There are also humans and while there are some racial superiority people, that wasnt the focus of this story. Human omega Chisato is working off a family debt as a call boy. He hasn’t done very well, he is still a virgin. But his last chance for employment is tonight at an expensive hotel. The one who hired him is none other than his childhood best friend Rowe (wolf beast, alpha), whom he hadn’t seen for 5 years. And so starts a story of miscommunication and falling in love, interspersed with lots and lots (and lots) of sex. It was interesting, but at times I wondered how much the story:sex ratio was. I guestimated 33% story:66% sex.

Discontinued Incomplete A real shame because this was a talented story that was intriguing and had you thinking all the time about what will happen and what has happened. A permanent cliffhanger but I am still happy to have read it. I think if it were completed it would be a favourite.

Best friends and a game that leads to rape and a forced mating. Idk, if my friend did that and removed all choice from me, he would be suffering from some heinous revenge on my part. The rape wasn’t even a loss of control due to heat. There were no mitigating circumstances and forcing a sexual response from someone doesn’t mean they are enjoying it. The body and the mind need to be in it and that didn’t happen. Disappointing.

I enjoyed this romantic Omegaverse story that was a bit of a paradox. Fate has a way to work that’s not always predictable. Associate professor Tomoya Kurosaki (alpha) was a brilliantly gifted researcher seeking a test subject. Natsuki Takimoto (beta) was the lonely and poor University student in dire need of finances who accepted the job. All he had to do was take a pill… This pill changed him in amazing ways, reshaping him into someone who responded to his professor and felt hot and flushed. Someone whose sweet scent called to be possessed by the genius with the alpha eyes. Someone wholly irresistible to Professor Tomoya. I love the paradox in this story when we discover the reasons that drew the professor to start this highly controversial research. Like fate presented him with a sampler of the one man fated to be his, but he had to bring him out. I loved the scruffy, unkempt professor before he found his FM and how he cleaned up after with the short hair and clean face. Contrastingly Natsuki relaxed into long hair looking more like the professors first love.

Such an interesting spin on Omegaverse. Alpha are the next step in human evolution but they are feared and often resented by the wider public. Miyuki has just found out he is an alpha of significant power and the pheromones he releases compel others to do his will. When Sawamura is pitching his desire to please his battery is so consuming he is morphed into an omega. Literally shaped to bear the progeny of an alpha. Miyuki is overwhelmed and distressed by the changes in his life, but as he grew to understand what it is to be alpha and omega, he embraced his friend and the two willingly bonded. It was beautifully intense, how much the two revolved around each other once they took that step. To an outsider it may seem strange, but I found that alpha/ omega dynamic like perfect chemistry.

Trigger Warning: Incest (sister x sister) A rare Yuri Omegaverse story, this time with alpha and omega sisters. The story was fast paced but the love they had established in their sibling bond allowed a lot to be skipped. This was a pretty good story because the love bond was strong though Yuri isn’t my favourite genre.

Trigger warning: Rape The son of 2 doctors, Shusei attends an all alpha boys school and is expected to excel. However, he always comes second to Jin who seems to effortlessly outperform him in all aspects. When Jin finds out that Shusei is actually an omega he blackmails him with sex for his silence. A bit of a losers action rather than the winner Jin is meant to be, but it turns out he has been drawn to the taciturn Shusei since he first set eyes upon him and refused to let an opportunity pass. The rest of the story follows the ups and downs of their relationship as it slowly strengthens. There is nothing I found that really sets the story apart (which IMO is really needed for love following rape to make sense) but it was still an interesting Omegaverse and it was nice to see an omega who was strong willed.

Leo Asaka is an alpha and second generation actor. Serious and determined to be successful on his own merits, Leo couldn’t be more opposite his new co star in an upcoming film, Eito Yanagi. Eito is another alpha second generation actor; son to a famous modeling mother. However, he is more wild and carefree than Leo and the two seem like they are fated to clash. Things aren’t as they always appear at first meeting though. Eito’s brilliant acting skills have Leo reassessing his first impression, and when the director sends the two off to get to know each other better their relationship goes from professional to intimate. I loved some of the moments of intense connection between Leo and Eito. Well written Omegaverse stories are great at giving that touch of desperation and yearning that can only come with fated pairs. I also appreciated their loyalty to each other and the way they stood beside each other even when events were against them. Overall, a recommended read.
