Trigger warning: Gang rape, prostitution, violence This Omegaverse was very well written and had some lovely artwork, but the plot line was one of much suffering for the uke and not an easy read because of that. Nanao (omega) was a collared, ‘owned’ piece of property available to a select group of powerful alphas and teachers at his boarding school. His hatred of alphas ran deep but he was willing to use them for money (they had been raping and abusing him anyway) that he used to buy his heat suppressants. When new transfer student Souiji (alpha) started he fell for Nanao at first sight, but refused to have sex with him. Even when he joined the circle of alphas with access to the omega’s, he chastely wooed Nanao with words of respect, treasuring him as he bought all of Nanao’s time. Through some ups and downs these two slowly developed a trusting relationship that would have been sweet (and it actually was) if it weren’t for the toxic treatment of omegas in this world (and of Nanao in particular). A quick example: Ryosuke (in charge of the alpha’s club) called Souiji in to watch him fuck Nanao. He ordered Nanao to rape Souiji with his heat. He offered up all his omegas to the entire school to be fucked if they were caught, giving no warning or time for the omegas to run. He profited off selling omega’s for sex. All that but because he was drawn to be good looking he was given a hinted love interest...bleh. All I can say is that if I had boarded at that school and was an omega treated as Nanao was, Ryosuke’s would be the first one I would slice to death in a killing spree. Two points for guessing where the slicing would start

Trigger warning: Rape and emotional trauma A surprisingly powerful story that packs a lot into 5.5 chapters. This starts off lightly with workaholic salaryman Shoma Otsuki (omega), who is flung unwillingly into plans for an arranged marriage by his concerned mom. Stumbling home drunk one evening, Shoma is helped by a vagabond young alpha with a pretty face. Drunk inspiration has Shoma asking Kanata Tachibana to pretend to be his lover in order to deter his marriage candidate. That is the start of these two total opposites relationship. By living together they become close, but both need to work on relying on the other and honest communication. Then there are hate filled others and dark times to deal with. It’s not all smooth sailing but it’s real love for the MCs and the family they create together from such an unlikely beginning.

I think this mangaka does not like her uke’s very much. In the Omegaverse story the alpha deliberately raped and bit the omega. Not because he was overwhelmed by his nature, or full of lust and/or love. Simply from cruelty, the desire to control and dominate his boss. A horrible story because even at the end, the omega hated the alpha. And the bullshit excuse of putting up with a lifetime of rape and bullying so he doesn’t have to take his suppressants? Wtf kind of crap is that? Then, the other stories... The high schooler who blackmails the salaryman over old AV vid he was in and makes him have sex in public. Turns out the salaryman was fine with it but the dynamic was poor between the two. The story was meant to be erotic with a foot job under a restaurant table and fear of being caught, but the pair had no chemistry. The suicidal friend story I was looking forward to, but it ended unresolved and was way, way to short to do justice to such a sensitive topic. Total letdown, but has potential. The otaku friend in bondage story also had potential but it fizzled as it felt like a meaningless and opportunistic fuck with zero deepening of their friendship subsequent to having sex. The only story that was ok was the horrible doctor one and the male nurse. This one was good because they both recognised the dark nature beneath the friendly smile AND they developed feelings for each other. But even in this story the uke had to be sexually assaulted by a stranger.. like I said; this mangaka doesn’t like their ukes. They don’t have love enter the stories, they like the ukes to be raped and powerless without any retribution. It’s not even reflective of good BDSM relationships which have aftercare and trust and safe words. So, read if you like these kinds of stories. I was really disappointed.

Trigger warning: Rape, abortion, blood A dark Eren x Levi Omegaverse story. Twisted and sad, I feel so sorry for Levi and I don’t foresee him carrying this third one through even if Eren has stopped it for now. For a psychological story, this certainly hit the ‘disturbing’ mark. Time to find something fluffy, fast.

Best friends and a game that leads to rape and a forced mating. Idk, if my friend did that and removed all choice from me, he would be suffering from some heinous revenge on my part. The rape wasn’t even a loss of control due to heat. There were no mitigating circumstances and forcing a sexual response from someone doesn’t mean they are enjoying it. The body and the mind need to be in it and that didn’t happen. Disappointing.

Trigger warning: rape (not the lover). This was a different story set in the Omegaverse. One where the omega (Kei) is bitten and marked by a self absorbed and self important alpha (Ekihito) but he chooses to not stay with the alpha, but rather his childhood best friend Tsugitsugu (beta). It’s sad because Kei was a naive romantic who wanted to be swept off his feet by a kind, gentle, rich and handsome alpha. Ekihito was rich and handsome, but he also had a colossal ego and he only wanted to mark and bind enough omegas as mates that could breed him over 100 offspring. When he forced himself on Kei during a heat, the poor omega was already at his lowest point, having driven his friend from his side. The rape was heartbreaking and the bite life changing because now his body would reject all others. The silver lining on the stormy cloud of this story was the determination of Kei and Tsugitsugu to be together as a loving couple despite everything. It was really sweet that they got a HEA

Trigger warning: Forced This sequel outshone the original story. I loved Tatsumi and Inui deepening their relationship. It was a bumpy ride but with a defiant character like Inui that’s to be expected. Some parts in the story made my heart hurt with the characters. Other parts were more romantic (or at least the Inui version of romance). The other highlight was all the sexy times shared between the two, uncensored and hot.

This story really lived up to its title in the beginning. There was rape and dub con and endless sex and I could sort of overlook a lot of the forced sex because we were dealing with demons. It’s just that there was little to no plot and character development when it’s just sex scene after sex scene. Ryoichi was such a weak seeming uke who sexually responded to anything (I still don’t see the need for that). It was all that irritating “no, no” while having some sort of body that was out of his control (and it wasn’t Yonosuke because he wanted positive outcomes) and endless remarks about falling pregnant (which never eventuates) and it all stagnated for me. I came so close to either dropping it or bookmarking and returning later (pretty much the same thing tbh). But then! Then it was like a different writer came on board. The actual story progressed and the author did a great job stirring pangs of empathy and sorrow for Yonosuke, and liking for Aroku as he softened towards Ryoichi and FINALLY some signs of Ryo being strong and loving enough to face the tough challenge of being a demons mate. The story was so good in the second half. I even got all teary over their time on Earth, that was so beautiful. Really, a lovely ending too. It would have been nice to see Ryo have a baby and watch Aroku be a dad (especially after the huge focus initially on him falling pregnant) but at least there were some panels at the end that let us see it would happen.

Trigger Warning: Rape, Incest (demon brothers) I liked that Yukio’s selfish actions hurt himself in the end and that only by being honest about his feelings and caring toward Rin was he to be happy. I also think that making everything transparent to Rin was the only way to move forward. It was pretty difficult watching Yukio be so horrible to the one he loves.

Available on Webtoons.com for free. A traumatising beginning with a battered rape victim left on the floor at school and subsequently staggers home. This boy is in anguish, I do not see any way to make this a romantic tale after that start.
