90+ list - 9.5+, webtoon dramatic, deep, us against the world kind of love. good dialogue about exploring and coming to terms with ones sexuality, facing different types of homophobia, internalized homophobia and guilt etc. Plot wasn't all that, with some very dramatic moments that happened kind of randomly and didn't maintain any depth. Main characters were well written and developed as was their relationship with each other - they were interesting and different and very honest with their thoughts and feelings, even the unpleasant parts. It wasn't perfect, but it was good and entertaining.

I actually quite liked it. You have a sense there are some hidden feelings in the beginning but seme is being cautious and keeping up the sex friends thing. They’re both not honest but seme is a bit manipulative bc he is afraid if he is honest the uke will run away (which is correct tbh). Both had a bit of a troubling childhood that shaped their views towards love and sex. Highly disliked the gang bang incident, was so frustrating that it happened. Meant to be used as uke realizing his feelings and wanting to get raped as an outlet to not being able to be with the one he wants. And seme realizing he needs to be honest and feeling regret. But they tiptoed around it afterwards and really the same story progress could have been made without such extreme measures. Just let him get beat up instead. But other than that one point, really enjoyed the story and their progression from fuck buddies to lovers and the reveal of their pasts to add more depth to their characters. And once they got together they were really cute. Seme is the loving doting type and uke is the tsundere who is really cute on his rare moments of honesty. Would love some more extras of them being lovey dovey but the two extras we got were great. Angst with a cute ending and that satisfying pining and realization of love.

list - seme pov, wip 30+ Slow burn and well written with appropriate apprehension about the age gap. But upon re-reading it the subplot felt very...boring? The almost worship of Yoiuchi's fathers by those around him, the careful and doting way they treated Yoiuchi. Sure it was very tragic but they put sooo much focus into him it's no wonder he grew up kind of stunted. It was really heavy and a bit of a drag, but I think it was more meant to just explore that and the feelings it caused Yoiuchi and what he had to grow up with. It's understandable and realistic in one way, but also excessive and boring in another. It does provide a good story for growth, though I think Sakurai's growth was more interesting. The bickering to lovers slow burn was also fun, though you could say the initial attraction was always there but just not realized by either party. The realization of their feelings is quite sudden and out of the blue though. The progression of their relationship after that is fairly natural, with a decent level of caution from Sakurai as the much older party. The second man in the love triangle was never really even an option so that part wasn't annoying or dragged out. Overall a good, well written story since this author is a good writer in general, but personally a bit dry as I couldn't gather much interest in the main subplot about his father and the house.
