Don't Be Nice To Me
50+ A neat sweet romance that was refreshingly normal and healthy. Very cuddly couple with good communication who did not shy away from their feelings.
Kiss de Egaku Ittousei
Aww this was really cute actually. Puppy seme with a more reserved uke. TW uke was raped in the past by a classmate and it is a central part of the plot, but I think they handle it well where it shows the consequences of that in terms of school and family, but without getting too heavy and focusing more on the healing and moving forward. It was great to see a supportive teacher, a family that cares, and a gentle and understanding lover. Chitose is really a puppy seme and so healing and straightfoward in his love and feelings. Hardly any shyness at all and no malice whatsoever, just a good bright person. Seno is more reserved but not really cold, kind of just quiet and solitary. He been assaulted in the past but is strong and able to stand on his own and heal from it. Still wary of getting close to others, but he's able to relax and let down his walls with Chitose. It was a very sweet story with a dose of realism amidst the fluff and some pretty solid characters and good supporting characters as well. A lovely read.

Omega Complex
list - 9.5+ 46: very sweet with gorgeous art. Childhood friends to lovers, mc thought it was one sided love but ofc it was requited the whole time. The hiding omega status didn’t become too big of an issue and was resolved fine, and then we get to spend a long time with them as a cute couple. One of the healthiest omegaverse couples I’ve seen and very affectionate.
Endless After-School Honey
An egocentric way of thinking
list - office 37: this is kind of pointless but also kind of fun to read. Art is gorgeous, they are both super hot. Uke is the insecure type to thinks they are very plain and not good enough, and so they are very dense/oblivious to the seme's advances. But granted, he's been cheated on and taken advantage of before, so he tries not to read into the signs. But so far it's all been about him overthinking everything and ignoring the very obvious signs. It's funny how very attracted he is to the seme though and lusts after him, it reminds me of punch drunk love. Seme is a fine specimen and likes to tease the uke a little bit but is mostly quite kind and doting. But so much of the misunderstanding is bc he is just not straightforward, why doesn't he just say the important part. He definitely shows through his actions that he likes him, but the uke is clueless and so doesn't pick up on that or overthinks those situations. Though that kind of vague flirtations and pining does make for good sexual tension, it felt like edging with the slowburn lol. They've finally confessed their feelings in words and started dating, so it should be all fun from here.
We'll Get Our Happy Ending
Interesting and different with a more realistic story style but maaaan was it frustrating. Both Soma and Wataru are kind of getting over their feelings for their ex-boyfriends and strike up a friendship that turns into a kind of friends with benefits situation. All the frustrating vagueness of a situation ship with a heavy dose of selfish nonchalance from the top Soma, and a painful semi-unrequited love insecurity from the bottom Wataru. Being in love with someone who is still in love with their ex while being intimate with them?? Sounds like hell. They were fairly honest about their unresolved feelings for their exes and kind of refreshingly talked about them quite openly. But that refreshing realism turned dour at the end with the continued vagueness and halfhearted resolution. Soma didn’t do nearly enough to reassure Wataru of his feelings, even I could hardly gauge his true feelings so I’m sure Wataru would be lost. And the last chapter was a dick move inviting his ex to the celebratory dinner, even if they did get along and it ended on happy note. They are very affectionate and touchy and clingy, and had potential to be so cute if they just resolved things properly and showed Soma being a good boyfriend!! Pissed me off and this is one where I’d have loved to see some groveling to at least Soma acknowledging Wataru’s insecurity and his own faults in creating that insecurity and doing his best to reassure him. I’m not fully convinced of his sincerity.
