list - opposites It was cute but not my style. Seme was kind of forceful in his approach and pushed uke to do things he wasn't comfortable with, which put me off. He is affectionate which was cute but overall it was meh. So re-read (or read all the way through?) and I still agree with my initial impression. Maybe that's why I kept stopping and not reading through, because I couldn't get into it at the beginning. The forcefulness of the seme and the weird hookup party?? didn't make this a promising start, but they're a cute couple in the end. But the plot is a bit amateur and illogical, he came out to his hs girlfriend and was met with homophobia, but how does that turn you into a straight player?? I understand not taking relationships seriously after bc of fear of getting hurt, but honestly would avoid people after that or get with guys. And the development of their relationship felt rather quick and shallow. I can understand why people like the relationship dynamics, a shy and innocent uke with a flirty former playboy seme who is actually really doting and affectionate. And instead of looking down on him, from the beginning he finds him cute and likes him with only a slight teasing dynamic. But the characters felt a bit stupid and shallow and the plot was frankly boring. The affection and skinship at the end was nice and the smut scenes are smutty. Overall I'd say overrated but decent read if you're bored. maybe 2.5 or 3/5 I'm glad some people in comments feel the same way bc when I first saw this comments were overwhelmingly positive and I felt like I was missing something lol.

And the omega/woman has to go through childbirth and STILL go back to work to provide for the family?? Boy if you don’t… They’re cute and really sweet! The uke is so pretty and cool. Seme is a total puppy.

60+ 60: This got crazy but this is the type of relationship and character dynamics I like. A puppy type doting seme who isn’t actually stupid or naive. Smart and sharp but good natured, but I liked that he wasn’t just a nice guy but also showed his distaste and anger sometimes. He survived and won in the end with some plot armor, but was still clever. I like that he’s a gentle lover and can take a beating. His strength was his ability to shoulder burdens and continue to give his love openly despite getting hurt. The Uke was absolutely strong but also a bit psycho. Raised in that environment with that kind of mother and grandfather, it seems inevitable he that he’s ruthless. But he had good people in his life too and can be kind in private, but very spoiled. He’s violent but his spoiled and willful behavior was fun to watch, especially since the Seme dotes on and indulges him. The family/company drama wrapped up quite easily and added a sense of action/thriller and politics. Overall it was a very interesting read with strong characters that I liked and a dark edge. Writing was great, could be refined a bit but it was intriguing and entertaining.
