Kemono Asobi
☆ ➼ reunion / masochism ➼ violent stoic seme x masochistic sweet uke Interesting and surprisingly cute with some lovely character growth masochist - uke Reread it now and the seme seems to have a bit of a different personality to the prequel. In the prequel he was more sly and manipulative, in this one he is more lonely and aloof. It doesn't feel like the same character, but it is and sucks bc he was really abusive to the uke in the first story. This one turned out quite cute though, he was violent at first tho the uke is a masochist and he stopped once they developed feelings. The uke was weirdly clingy and stalkerish in the beginning so the first parts were a bit rough, but they grew on me. Seme is the aloof kind but is really lonely and ends up quietly spoiling uke. Uke is the honor student type and gentle but persistent, and this persistent love is what wins over seme in the end. Seme needed someone to love all of him and stay by his side, and uke is able to nurture that part of him. They end up being a cute couple and helping each other with their personal family problems.
Ore no Oniku-chan
Pretty cute. Unrequited love and a re-encounter scenario. Seme was a chubby kid who changed himself but uke liked him back when he was chubby and has a bit of a fat fetish now. Uke is the slutty type who doesn't take things serious, but he actually really likes seme and is clever and protective. Seme is quite sweet, the naturally kind type and a bit naive or sheltered and typically very straightforward and bit haughty but kind of in an endearing way.
Konomi ja Naka to
list - masterlist, grown There's something about this couple that I just love. Seme is an older brusque, rough around the edges but a good guy type if a little pushy at first. Uke is the smart type but a bit clumsy even though he ends up capable. They have a mature relationship and loving even if not exactly lovey dovey. Uke can be resistant sometimes but also takes initiative other times so it's a nice mix that doesn't feel one sided. Also proactive in bed and like to be on top apparently so the sex scenes were quite intimate and reciprocated.
Boku no Kareshi no Sukinahito
It's complicated and Itsuki is a gem of a character, but I think it was done well. It didn't feel too rushed for me. Incestual love is so taboo and I think it was handled well. I think at that point, Airi was already over his love for his brother but it was just that lingering pain of his first love. And his main fault was lying to Itsuki about it, like Itsuki said he just wanted him to be honest. But that is incredibly difficult bc it is such a taboo thing that he felt shame about for so long, it wasn't even that he still had those feelings but moreso that he never wanted to face those feelings and admit it out loud bc he was so ashamed. But Itsuki was incredibly patient and understanding. I don't think Airi used him necessarily. He was attracted to him from the beginning but didn't agree to be in a relationship until he developed real feelings for him. He truly did like him and want to be with him, and hoped to heal and move on. It's just that he couldn't confess his secret bc it's something he could hardly face himself, and he didn't have complete closure about his feelings. Once his feelings were revealed, Itsuki gave him the time and space he needed to have that closure and he did. It's not that he needed to get over his feelings in that time span, he just needed to come to terms with what he had felt before and lay it to rest to finally move on. It was interesting and different, and I think it was handled well.
