Yuuutsu Na Asa

Complete | hidaka shoko | 2009 released

I read the entire thing in one day. I skipped through a lot of it to be honest. There is way more dialogue than necessary. This one is also a true slow burner. It takes a long time to start getting to the good stuff, but I guess that's what made it truly realistic, the fact that it took so long. For some reason, due to how long it took them to get closer, their sex scenes felt even more intense, fr it was hot asf. Once they BOTH came to terms with their feelings and started showing their *hot* passion for each other, this became a really good read. Seriously, once they were on the same page it was just everythiiiiing wow. The majority of this manga was just fustrating as hell tho like FORGET THE STUPID POLITICS AND JUST BE TOGETHER DAMMIT. Everytime you thought it was going somewhere it took a step back or in a different direction AGAIN. Their feels for each other at the end tho, I almost cried, I did actually tear tbh. I know I read this in one day but dam that was a long time coming. By the time I reached the end, it felt like I've been reading it for years. Their passion for each other now is everythiiiing. I really wish there was more of it. The entire manga just makes you want them to love each other while being carefree. Instead it was a headache most of the time ugh. I don't think I'll ever reread this. It's way too long in length and takes way too long to get to the point (meaning the progression in their relationship). I still feel pleasant after reading this, despite the discontentment I felt almost the entire time I was reading due to the constant obstacles in their relationship that THEY CREATED, ughhhhh. The author is actually a great writer. I do feel content in the end. I usually hate excessively long manga but it's almost as if this was nice BECAUSE it was so long. You got to go on that emotional rollercoaster with them, ugh, it was awful, but then it was amazing. I don't want to put this in either of my lists, but I still hope I'll remember this one anyway. I think this will be a nostalgic one in the future

Here U Are

I love YuYang, like I'm seriously attracted to his character, both in appearance and in personality. He is one of the most realistic portrayals of an actual person that I've seen in manga (& a likable one at that). I loved how their relationship was being built, and how it was doing so slowly over time. It was very gradual, realistic. However, I am so disappointed with their ending. All of that time it took to show their feelings growing for one another, all that time it took for them to actually get together, and then when they finally did it was like the author was just ready to toss them aside. They completely skipped the awkward yet sweet moments of when they started to become an actual couple. Instead, it skipped ahead showing their future, then it skipped back again to present time but they were already used to being a couple, and then it moved on to the next couple's story. It was seriously so weird. I got so invested in this couple and then it felt like I was cut off, I'm so disappointed. Also, I hated the random chapters they threw in at the most random times showing their future together. It just completely spoiled it. I mean yes we all knew they were going to get together, that's what happens in BL of course but those chapters shouldn't have been placed where they were. Although I'm disappointed with the execution of the main couple's ending, I will say again that I really love YuYang. He is definitely one of my most favorite characters in BL. For that, I will put this manga in my "one to remember" list. This is ONLY because of YuYang. I do recommend this manga, but I would say not to expect too much fruit. What I mean by that is, once they get together, it really is just over. You don't get to revel in the fact that they're together now, they just skip that part. Fr disappointing

I liked this, it was really cute. I've always liked reading stories with characters that have a disability because I feel like I come to understand them a little better, even if it's just a fictional story. The beginning of the story was a little iffy but as you keep going, it becomes more enjoyable. Their relationship is very cute and admirable.

I was able to get immersed in it, so I enjoyed it quite a bit. I laughed a lot and found myself blurting out criticism of the characters' actions lmao. It was a cute light read. It was especially wholesome with the grandpa but of course they had to break my heart with that one
