Motomete Yamanai
This seme is so precious. A little annoying in his rudeness but even that is cute in it's own way. Reminds me of Takamine from Soredemo Kamawanai in his innocence and Harumi from one night stand (Scarlet) in his timidness. The uke is far too interesting. His heart breaking lack of regard for himself and his selflessness. I like him so! 5 Edit: Tatsumi is just so adorable. His expressions! Ahhh! The mangaka sure knows her audience well. Those forehead crinkles and pouts get me every time. He's just so cute, I just want to protect him forever. He's certainly out of touch with common human interactions, but he makes up for it with so much sincerity, and he's always so willing to learn about the world that turned its back on him. Tsuburaya is a really nice character as well. Designed just perfectly for you to sympathise with. Makes you want to root for him. He surely changed Tasltsumi's life, but his was also affected in many ways by Tatsumi. He brought colour into his life, tbh. I love it! And at the end when Shiraishi san and the manager ended up together :'D I wanna read more about them! Anyway, easy peasy 5*
Datte, Oishii No Ga Warui.
Chap 1: Story about the only two smokers left at work, who are in different departments, but take their smoke breaks together. I thoroughly enjoyed it. Yauki is such a devil,I love the way he handles Fujisawa. Fujisawa was so cute and desperate, making up all those lies, just so he can see him. And that confession, ugh. He though it was sweet, but in reality, it was bitter, he tried to quit so many times, what has been done to him, etc, aaaah! Lovely. Yuaki's response was spot on. But everyone should just quit smoking. And this should get at least 5 more chapters (and a sextra *.*) 5* Chap 2: "I have failed to become 1 of 7.2 billion, I am but 1 part of 1 whole solitude." A story about a being who can only eat dreams and someone who thinks his lonely heart has nothing to offer. Beautiful and bittersweet. Loneliness recognises loneliness, I guess. Really would love a full length story on this. 5* Chap 3: A sudden change in the feel of this collection, with this one. Can't say I really liked that. Hasegawa, who is a seasoned shoemaker, and the man who travelled the world learning how to make shoes, so he can become an apprentice for Hasegawa. I don't really like Hasegawa? How condescending and dismissive he was, how quick to raise his hand, didn't even accept his clear responsibility for causing that misunderstanding. Nah. 4. Barely. Chap 4: Story about an artist and his unsuspecting muse. This was far more in line with the original theme. Though, I wish Isozaki had explained his reasoning instead of doing, at times cruel, things to make Andou go red. Glad he finally admitted nothing could compare to the real thing. But so, so disappointed there's no confession. Totally ruins it for me. Loved Andou's crew, though. Wish there had been more of them. Story could be a bit more fleshed out as well. But overall, was a unique plot. 4.4* Chap 5: Story about a kohai who keeps messing up his desk on purpose so that his senpai will notice him. Also fits in with the theme. Aoki is such a kind supervisor and Matsuda is exactly the kinda gentle and smart but at times mean seme, I enjoy from time to time. I love how Matsuda bullied Aoki in to lettting him pay, definitely wanna see more of that! The way Matsuda rebuffed and answered his every insecurity made my heart sing. I long for that! This needs to be a full story! 5* Overall : 4.68
Patchwork (fujitani Youko)
They are wonderful, for striving so hard to give this child some measure of happiness and love ('some' as in, any and all they could, and then some)
Sugar In My Coffee
A part timer working at a café maybe bites off a bit more than he can chew, pining after the owner/supervisor. Don't wake the sleeping beast XD ~Aahhh My poor heart! So promising! Why is this a one shot?? Whyyyyyy???!
Club Naked
Both stories would have been average, plot wise, 4.4s, but the characters really pull these through 1: Tachibana falls slowly for Leo, the talented strip dances. I love how much Tachibana respects Leo. Leo too, thinks about him so much, really well rounded relationship with really wholesome characters (in a yaoi about a strip club!) 4 6 2: I feel bad for poor Mihail, who traveled all the way to Japan to find his mom after his dad passed away. He is extremely lucky to have found someone as kind as Angie. More of a puppy love, not really spicy or exciting (again, in a yaoi about a strip club!), but they genuinely do care about each other and it's just cute. Ridiculous misunderstanding with Angie's family though. Glad he's cleared it with them and is happy, I guess. 4.5
Koi wo Suru Tsumori wa Nakatta
This 30 year old workaholic virgin who's not the best at meeting people speaks to me on levels I can't explain Edit: Really glad they're happy together. Not as sexually exiting and interesting as I originally thought, but not bad. I love confident guys like Rou being taken down a peg or two, although Yoshino has done it most unwittingly. I also love smart and capable ukes like Yoshino. The era of stupid shoujo female leads and ukes with bread slices in their mouths and and nary a braincell in their heads is OVER!
Lingua dolce
It was good. Very, very good. Even though that first time was surely assault ish. But I just can't? Like Masayuki couldn't fulfill his love because he didn't force him? Because that's all I'm getting from this. My heart aches for him over and over. I don't think I could really enjoy this without reading Masa's romance, and it better be a good one, too! :/ 4.5
Koisuru Tetsumenpi
1: Kitagawa, who has a compulsive blushing syndrome, finds himself being hated by a senpai at work, only to realise he might have missed the mark on senpai's feelings. Kitagawa is such a sweetie. And Natsume is so stoic, yet cute in his own way too. They're so awkward and precious together! I enjoyed Natsume taking initiative to get things going, but didn't like him holding them off from dating for no good reason. But who cares, it was only a couple days. They're good for each other, and they've good people by their sides. Kinda wanted Kitagawa to be uke and was a little disappointed at first, but this is pretty damn good the way it is 4.7 2: Tomita falls for the charming bartender/owner, Saito, at one of his favourite haunts. Just the way Saito san wanted it XD I kind of really love how cute and sensitive Tomita is?? How much he cares about his friends, and just, people in general? Natsume is so right, I love that he got caught by such a predator, Saito san's slyness is just the right amount! 5*!
Gozou Roppu no Koi
Ichirou is in debt, managing the diner his dad left behind. His relationship with the hosts who frequent his place at dawn, especially their leader Seiichi, evolves, as the days pass by. Whoa. This is genuinely so lovely. I really, really like Seiichi a lot, he's so kind and respectful and goddamn generous. How he handled the ex, I wish people in other yaois had the same sharp reflexes and wits. And Ichirou is such a hard worker, even saw the error in his thinking and made an effort to change the way he sees hosts. Seiichi also seemed to have a good support system, would have been nice to have read more about the friends and that owner. Most of all, just wish this was longer and more detailed. 5, easy 5
