Imperfect Pervert
Story telling looks incredibly interesting Edit: Still really, really interesting. Bit darker than I had hoped, though
Musebinake, Junjou
Aw :'| That's kinda just sad :/ Edit: In a dystopian society where beastmen are vilified and treated like slaves and monsters, Yuki has to hide his rare chimera status, even from Godai, who saved Yuki many years back and whom Yuki is madly in love with. I did like the plot and I enjoyed the bond between them, cried a lot too. But I really can't stand the loose ends. Like, what happens now? Will Yuki ever fight for his rights? Will there be a revolution? What ever happened to Yuki's mom? And how can Rou not care about him, like, wtf???! 4.45
Yasashii Kare to Fukigen Kitsune no Renai Jijou
This had a really unique and interesting fantasy plotline but the romance kinda threw me off? It was too short to include that amazing plot and the rkmance too. Don't get me wrong, they make sense together. It's just, Kisuke went from tsundere asshole who was waay too violent for my taste to pushy seme who's crazy about Keita. If this was like, 20 chapters long, this would make so much more sense. Also, Kisuke almost got him killed, but that just gets brushed over. He has too much pride for my liking. One should be able to apologise when one is in the wrong. 4.4
Pheromone Shower - Omegaverse Short Stories
An assortment of shitty rape stories... is what I was going to say. But that would be extremely unfair to the last story. 1: Kei, who hated all betas because he was jealous of them, and Mei, who pretended to be a beta in highschool. Story revolves around how Mei pushed Kei into a corner by isolating him, fueling his gambling, and leaving him neck deep in debt. Mei is the epitome of a shitty, entitled seme/alpha. I hate it so much! His reasoning is defunct, man. Sure, Kei isn't the nicest character around, but he's far from terrible and certainly, has lived a sad life, and deserves better. Also, I just plain do not like mangas with gambling addicts. 3.3 12: Hyun Jung seduces his supervisor, Shi Woo, then uses nepotism to blackmail him into sleeping with him, whenever he wants. This fucker's like "I'm not raping you, just using my nepotism to blackmail you (over the time I dragged your hammered ass to a hotel for sex), and make you do something sexual that you clearly said you don't want to do”. I mean, I'm not about to take the high road after all these dubcon and noncon yaoi I've read (some of which I have even enjoyed), but let's all call a spade, a spade, yeah?! And the training abroad thing is also so lacking in body autonomy and consent, this manga is just out to rape this guy in every which way possible! I don't find this funny or entertaining. 2.2 23: This one is so intriguing and plot heavy, it feels so out of place in a collection like this. I only wish there could be a couple more fluff and switching chapters to make up for all the hardships and suspense in the bulk of the story. Min Hae-il is a gambling addict (or is he???) who gets saddled with taking care of Suh Lim, the kidnapped rich guy, who's being questioned on the whereabouts of some documents connecting his brother to multiple corruption cases (his brother is the one trying to keep Suh Lim in check, because he knows too much, and everyone is aware of the fact). The amount of little side plots and character development here amazes me, honestly. You hardly find that in a 10 chapter yaoi. I love the twists, and honestly, some the side characters were top notch as well. Suh Lim got really lucky he was surrounded by good people who cared about him. The way Suh Lim grew as a person was staggering. I love this story!! 5 Overall : 4 Edit: sequel for last story is right here!!
Retsujou PARADOX -Banken ha Yoru Kiba wo Muku-
This is actually so unique and so good??! Whaaat? Seiji is a hired private eye who turns on his client to save his target (Hiroki), whom he fell in love with Seriously, I love how Hiroki is so smart, but didn't see this one coming, yet still decides to trust Seiji after everything. I love that Seiji just goes fuck it, and decides to back Hiroki to the very end. And I'm really, really happy his dad did love him so much. It's bucking the trend in so many ways. And there was like, plot and stuff. So much of it! Is this even yaoi??? 5* But seriously, the sex scenes need to be more, specially scenes like the last one
ANTI P.T.
Param, who is a virgin with a sensitive body, gets blackmailed (because of his tendency to get erections at the drop of a hat) by the company PT (Hwi hates him because Param was rude to him in a fit of panic) and then tutored on how to control his urges (Hwi is definitely into him). I'm kinda really into Param? I don't really want him with Hwi, who's got a number of complexes, is blackmailing him, and is also enjoying looking down on him. But there's spice in their interactions, too. Mr.Han seems interested in Param too, though. I'm conflicted. Edit: I'm glad they ended up where they did. I wish people didn't have to get hurt in the process, though.
Mayonaka Mirror Ball
Chiaki gets dragged out to a gay orgy with his fashion model coworker and it brings some much needed colour and passion into his life. Whaaat O.o This is actually SO good?! I am genuinely so surprised, because of the ratings??? Taiga is really, quite lovely. He's very out going, obviously, you wouldn't frequent gay orgies otherwise, but man, he's so timid in so mang ways too. My favourite is easily Chiaki, though. Easily. Aaah. He's such a cool dude! The way he quietly accepts other people and their points of view, the way he is unashamed about his relationship with Taiga despite not knowing he was bi up until he met him, how straightforward he is about his feelings. I just love him? I love this story, dammit. The friends were all really cool, too! 5***
