Final Impression
1: Nakagami asks for a goodbye kiss just as Hayashida is about to move away. Hayashida thinks that's gross and refuses. He returns during high school and has become an a***hole. Loved the uke, hated the seme. Nakagami deserves better. 3* 5: Hiromasa's boyfriend (senpai at work) tells him that he is getting married to the director's daughter but still want to continue the relationship afterwards. Of course, Hiro's not okay with that. Coming home from work, he sees Kaoru, who had been living with a cabaret girl downstairs, sitting outside with a bag. Hiro takes Kaoru in. One man unaccustomed to being loved, an one man tired of false love. A relationship blossoms. 5* 6: Shouji's girlfriend dumps him and he visits his usual bar, where he is friends with the bartender, Kodaira. Kodaira (just by simply existing) makes Shouji question his sexuality. Interesting read. 4*
Sweet Bitter Candy
6: the one where he breaks up and leaves but can't move from the door
Hokenshitsu Made Nan M?
1: Take, a math teacher, meets his old high school classmate (Ono) with whom he shared an intimate relationship, when he joins the school Take work in, as a temporary infirmary sensei. Though their parting was not on favourable terms, could the relationship be salvaged? Thoughts: I liked them, as individuals, and they seemed to have a pretty strong bond, that withstood the test of time and distance, BUT though Take says it started with mutual interest, he also mentions he was coerced later on. But he was also in love with Ono at the time of graduation. Which makes me wonder, how much dubious consent are we talking about? A really low 4* 2: Ryouhei is reunited with his childhood friend and neighbour Naoyuki, who had been neglected and consequently starved in his childhood. Ryouhei (and his mum) were the only glimmer of hope in Naoyuki's otherwise miserable childhood. Thoughts: I know that Ryouhei didn't quite realise his feelings until the jealousy crept in, but that hardly makes him a bad guy. On the contrary, I think he was quite compassionate and kind. And Naoyuki was great, for bearing no ill will or bitter feelings towards the person who had treated him so cruelly and for the general unfairness of life. 5* 3: Aizawa has been in love with his high school mate Tsuji for a long time. Graduating university and getting employed didn't change that. Finally, his feelings boil over and he kisses Tsuji. Thoughts: Fairly simple story. 4* 4: Keichi takes Akira in after his lover kicks him out in the middle of heavy down pour. This simple relationship based on bare necessity blossoms into something so much more. 4* Thoughts: I like how supportive the seme is. The relationship seems pretty stable too.
Kizudarake no Airabuyuu
1: Saito meets and befriends the beautiful Minamibo, whom he thinks is being sexually abused. But things aren't always as meets the eye. 4* 26: Ishimoto finds out that hid driving teacher, Kanaya, is the man who came up with his favourite fictional character as a young boy. 3* 50: Ni-chan comes back from studying abroad to find his younger brother all grown up (looks waaaay too old to be 15) and at a rebellious stage. 2* 74: Kanda has a thing for Uesaka, a fellow delinquent and a sempai that he does nothing but fight with. Uesaka is definitely the more mature and level headed of the two, I don't know how he puts up with all that. Bunch of interlopers in the mix, too. 3* 148: The older Kanda, Kotaro, is trying to come to terms with his little brother being stolen away, when his co-worker, Yuji offers to take his mind off things. Only, Yuji appears to know things about him that makes him wonder who Yuji really is. 3*
