Ugh. It was s tupid, cliche, predictable story I regret wasting my time on 3.5

I'm already mad, but I'm willing to give it a chance Edit: Ji Xiaobei's book smarts and competence are right up my street. His growing sense of self worth ince the bewilderment has settled in, certainly does not hurt. Lu Bailang, as ever, is a bag of dicks. I hope Ji Xiaobei makes him beg. Really interested to see where this goes. Glad to see no rape, so far Edit: How can someone so intellectually developed be so incredibly stupid?? How?! Why would a simple friend put their hand on your but and stuff? He needs to assert himself way more than this! Also hate the way the story flows. Characters reactions to certain situations makes it seem like certain things that happened in previous chapters didn't happen at all. It's like ever chapter is a reset. Especially, the end scene and beginning scenes of adjacent chapters don't sync at all! They start on completely different scenes. It was really annoying. Storyline is still very interesting. His friend is such an evil bitch, it makes the entitled and arrogant but still obviously infatuated with Ji Xiaobei Bailang look like an angel! If Bailang saves him in time, that'll seriously gi a ling way towards his redemption

Yeah, zombie apocalypse trend's kinda tired, tbh. But willing to see where this goes. Edit: at ch 17, and it's still. Tired. But want to see how his ends.

Walked in expecting something mind-numbingly cliché and predictable but ended up with a quiet tragedy. Really, almost too painful. Not sure which parts hit me the hardest. Hisato waiting literally centuries for the love of his life, Shuuri being resigned to never be loved by someone who likes everyone, and therefore, really, likes no one or even Roche begging Akashi to kill him. Meeting after decades and the unassuming tenderness in that moment and Roche just being... so fucking tired. Like, I can't deal with this emotional trauma

Chap 1: Good for nothing Saitou who is a struggling author without a penny to his name and no value of money and Mayuzumi who takes him in. Mayuzumi is in love with and has casual sex with the already married Saitou. 3.5* Chap 2: Aki and Yamato who share a dorm room, are boyfriends and can't keep their hands off each other 4* Chap 3: En is the lewd playboy apothecary and Tao is his assistant who has to put up with his sh*t. An aphrodisiac may get involved in the ensuing seduction. Sequel in tachi neko soudatsu 3.5* Chap 4: Fucked up beyond repair love triangle between non-blood related siblings, Kyokou and Haru and Shinobu, Kyouko's husband. The fact that he doesn't remember the sex gives me rape vibes. 2* Chap 5: Very short and bitter oneshot about snow that melts in the face of a long spring. Supernatural. 4* Chap 6: Maki, who's never lost a fight and Sugawa who was a leader in his peer group in his younger days but got overshadowed over the years and cannot stand losing to anyone. Not normally my kinda story but I can't help but enjoy how crazy Maki is about Sugawa, accepting him, complexes and all. 4.2* Chapter 7: Micchan, who was battling crippling depression and lost, and Jun who couldn't let him go. Uber dpressing. Jun never realised how serious Micchan's suicidal talk was and it warped him forever 2.5* Chap 8: Akashi, the servant and the chained Guardian Deity he was brought by force to service. Akashi is a pure little cinnamon bun. Glad the Guardian was gentle with him. The household can rot. Hypocrites. 5* Overall: 3.6*

Very interesting. Story flows interestingly, too.

Hayato, young master of a yakuza/ werewolf clan finds his mate in a brute who kidnapped him. Feels rushed and shallow Edit: It *is* shallow, but it's also okay. It's frustrating that Hayato should fall for someone who kidnapped him and treated him so carelessly. But he does come around. He does get better. I still don't like it much, though. 4
