It wasn't half bad, but there wasn't a tonne of development. Characters were nice, but again, I wasn't in love with them, despite them not having any major flaws. I did like them a lot though. Mangaka just couldn't really endear them to me as much as I expected. Except the side character. I wanna see the friend as an uke, with a seme who is nuts over him. Also wanted more of a closure (although this much is also not bad) on that asshole ex. Maybe show him what he missed or some shit. Having said that, it was still a good story, and the sid le characters were supportive. Though the grandma completely writing him off her will like that just seems very, very wrong to me. 4.5

This started out in such a typical yaoi place and then out grew it like no one's business! Ryo is such a sweetie!! Ahhh. Glad Ninomiya finally managed to see what was under all that brittle facade. Ninomiya, what he did was definitely very wrong and troubling, but he really really tries hard to cherish Ryo and do right by him afterwards, so I will let it go. And the sex, man!! So hooooot!!! I love the people Ryo has around him, just, wow. And Ninomiya's family is the best, man. Glad the girls got what was coming. So satisfying. Rarely do people get their come uppance in yaoi. Really interested in Kenji and Matsumo's story.

Sho is a gay dude who's been very open about his sexuality from childhood and always had his parents and others around him support him. Meanwhile, Naoto is a judo team member whi has lived his life by yhe rigid standards set forth by his loving but extremely strict father. What happens when Sho declares that Nao is just his type (and publicly, at that)? It was good. I liked how respectful and considerate and brave they both were. But especially Nao. For timid and reserved Nao, that took a lot of guts. I don't appreciate Sho's cowardice making him cry, but I know Sho is just such a lovely guy, so I can let it go. Lemons were pretty hot, but it was hard to get into some of them, for no good reason 4.7

My, my! What an excellent collection! 1: Masashi is a salaryman who secretly loves ero games. One night, he receives a visit from Squartha, a prince from an alternate dimension, who must have sex with a man to fulfill the task set to him by the Goddess, in order to save his country. Could the situation be anymore ero game like?! For what it is, this story sure depicted an incredibly healthy relationship. Not only is Masashi such a capable man, he is also so empathetic, and loving. The way he took responsibility, damn! I also really liked that they were surrounded by supportive and tolerant people. It's so great that precious, sincere Su is getting loved like he deserves. I'm really glad the goddess sent him there. She was probably meddling to save him from his disgustingly cruel father. 5 4: Uke can't help but be turned on and intrigued by the man (Kentarou) who is always eyeing him like he wants to swallow him up on the train. Yet, all attempts to entice him fail because the virgin seme is too inexperienced to be confident enough to take bait. That, is, until the uke runs into a disgusting molester and Kentarou snaps! Damn. I love seemingly herbivorous semes who snap like this. It was incredibly hot! Especially that train scene, whew! Yet he was so uncertain at times, too! It was so endearing. Enjoyed the outgoing uke who had no qualms about going after what he wanted. 4.7 5: Maekawa is elated to be working for Okuyama, a high specs, extremely young company president, who maintains a very positive, healthy and inclusive workplace. After being rescued from an absolutely terrible job, Maekawa finds himself switching between hero worship and intense attraction for his president. And when he finds out pres is gay, well! This is genuinely so enjoyable, because we get to see Maekawa slowly gain confidence, pick up hobbies and finally make time for himself. Okuyama definitely saved his life. You really have to respect people like Okuyama who build their own safe space into an empire in such an intolerant society. Hats off! The sex scenes were hot, too. 4.9 Overall, I really enjoyed each plot, all the characters were lovely, and even the supporting characters were very well done, too. Managaka has a definite skill for cramming detailed storylines into a couple pages. 5!!!

Kiichi comes over to stay at Niina's place until the term is over. On the surface, they are just strangers in the same class, barely interacting, except for acknowledging each other as much as two nice people who are unceremoniously thrown together would. On the surface. At it's core, though, their relationship is so much more, more than they themselves dared to dream. Kai Kiichi, you confident fucker, you!! I am so proud of this dude, like, he's the one, bruhhh! Look at him go after what he wants, damnnnn. And Niina, is such a nice dude, who wouldn't want him to be happy?? Who wouldn't want them to be happy? And Niiina's parents and family are the absolute best too, apparently. I love this so much, like, this is just superb. Really, really good. 5! 5: Story about Koichi, Kiichi's doting elder brother, and his boss, Arun. About realising how someone else's regard for you can pull you right in, when it's just the right person. Enjoyed it. Again, both really likable characters. This mangaka is on a roll. 4.8

Shougo sees a foreigner (Levi) stranded and sleeping on the roadside and just can't walk by. By bringing him home for a bath and a hot meal, Shougo has no idea that Levi will become so much more important in his life. Okay, this is just pointless fluff. What a pure, silly couple! Suits their pure, silly plot. They've cleansed my soul!!! Having said that, how does Shougo not know that gay people exist and are normal? And especially when he realised he's gay from a young age??? Maybe it's a translation issue? Anyway, still enjoyed it. 4.6

Masumi who had been molested as a child is very conflicted with his sexual and romantic feelings towards Otomo, the ero mangaka nextdoor. I don't like that Masumi's trauma is never properly addressed or treated. Also, we don't know how old Otome is, so that throws me off a bit, even if Masumi is 18. It would have been good, even the mom ended up understanding (I'm also really glad she's getting remarried to such a nice dude), if only they had warpped up the loose ends properly. 4.4 5: Masumi's best pal Masafumi becomes caught in the web Otome's Kawasaki laid. Yet, Kawasaki himself is talling badly for him. I didn't really like this one at first, because Masafumi is such a gem of a character, and I really think few could deserve him. And Kawasaki really leaves much to be desired. But he does change his ways (amongst many other things) just for Masafumi, and it's difficult not to find that respectable. And also, just a tad, endearing. 4.2

Shouma's parents keep pressuring him to find a nice alpha and settle down. He ends up picking up Kanata, a random homeless stranger off the streets, to act as his pretend boyfriend. I was reading the first 2 chapters or so, I was bewildered by the high rating. I couldn't understand. But this was stealthily one of those mangas that play the long game. The angst, the love, the trials, it certainly pulls your heart strings. I can't say I was happy with how Shouma threw Kanata out. He should have given him a chance to explain. This is years of trauma and waiting to die, coming to the surface, man. He spent every day not expecting to live longer than 40. Cut the man some slack. I wonder whether Shouma might have aborted the baby if Kanata had not happened to meet him then. Whatever it is, I can only be grateful he is theirs. That evil, vile alpha got away scot free and that will never not make me angry. They're good together, so damn good. But some of the things mentioned previously sour this for me, just a bit. But not so much that I cannot appreciate how lovely they are together. 4.7
