Risky Vice
The baseplot is VERY nice but the execition is really lackluster and feels rushed AND random at times. As so often: Like a rought draft of different moments the author thought of and liked and somewhat tried to string into a story. It's a bit disappointing to say the least. Especially since I love these kinda plots (mafia boss X rando from the streets). Such a shame. I like the art and baseplot, really, but this is more of a page-flipper to jack off to than a cohesive, intruiging story that's well thought through. I'll read the ending when it's finished, just to see what kinda ending the author has planned for these two (the opening scene is making me think this'll be bs but oh well). Hopefully the future works of this person will be better. There IS potential after all.
Being a Maid is Better than Being a Princess
I am in love with how refreshing this plot is! Princesses are indeed WAY too glorified in stories, there is more negatives about beinga princess than positives. I'm glad someone finally picked up on this and made a story focusing on the issues royalty faces from an outsider's perspective and commentating on it. It's very pleasant to read. The writing itself is done VERY well and the art is not too bad. Many panels are absolutely lovely they way the girls are smiling and how detailed the artist drew them. Well done! I do wish however that they had kept the tension or caution towards the prince for a longer time tho. With how seriously the tone is when dealing with other people and situations, it feels like the MC doesn't take the prince seriously (so to speak, given how they interact). I think that aspect could have been done better if approached a little slower and it would have taken a while to make them friendly with one another. Not that I mind the comic relief, but still. It feels a little unfitting for the otherwise serious tones. The characters are very lovely too. The princess is adorable in many ways, the prince feels a bit bland bit not too much and the MC is neatly written in terms of behavior, reasoning, etc.. I very much like that, too many people these past few years ignore that important factor when writing. :'D All in all, a decent and interesting plot that keeps me hooked. Definitely worth a read! If the characters and plotline are to your liking, you'll definitely be able to enjoy this I'd say. (=・ω・=)
Yoake no Uta
First things first: The art is impressive in every way, tho the story is equally so despite being quite weird and having a few plotholes here and there. The art gives me vibes from other, older authors out there and even a Ghibli moment at one time. Which I found really lovely~ As for the critique aspect, since there are faults I find: It does not seem to be a translation issue, but! There is a writing issue for sure. The pages/chapters feel VERY jumbled up. But not just single pages being randomized (seemingly), even on one page the author makes odd choices for random scene switches. This is very confusing at times and throws me off immensely. I find it very hard to tell at this point if there is issues with the uploading as well, since somtimes it even feels like pages could be missing? Since info is revealed in the plot but there wasn't a page/panel i can remember it being mentioned as a fact the characters know of already. So, atop of the authors odd scene skipping, we might also have jumbled AND missing pages. Which honestly makes me sad since the story IS very intriguing and has me hooked but the jumbled and weird pages make me think this is better off not being read unless new uploads come along. If this wasn't such a consistent issue, I'd not be bothered, but this throws me off the rhythm while reading multiple times each chapter almost. And that's very unpleasant. :/ As I said, the translations from the officials are perfectly fine, but I heavily suspect the author has weird scene switching habits AND there might be jumbled pages all over. So 'viewer discretion is advized' and all that jazz. (Maybe reading the official offficial source material would be a better choice for this one. Not sure.)
I’m the Villainous Male Lead’s Terminally Ill Aunt
This Time I’ll Change My Husband
I really like the story, but the very sudden, unexplained scene changes really are a bit confusing at times and break the immersion. I find it highly likely that this is not the same as in the novel, if this is based on one. Which I find all the more bothersome since, with smooth transitions and explainations, this comic would be a great read. I'm only on chapter 5 so far but I really hope the author doesn't keep doing this. The constant moments of "Why the fvck are we suddenly in a room with people that never appeared before??" is a bit annoying tbh. XD In general, the author could really need some taking time (it really feels almost like rushing sometimes) and ESPECIALLY with explainations in the important parts. It's weird they decided to gush over the prince as he randomly appeared after a scene change that confused me, yet neither the second brother nor the aunt got even so much as a sign with a name and title to introduce them. In a novel this might work, since you write it like this: "[insert dialogue]", said the MCs red-haired aunt angrily while slapping her fan into her hands. Leaving the description after the dialogue entirely out is NOT a good way to re-do a script into a comic. You NEED to mention who the person is if the situation makes them important (which an angry family member out of thin air definitely is XD). I'll keep reading, but if these issues keep appearing this might become a chore or annoyance that could make me change my mind on wanting to see this story unfold. It's really not pleasant for a experienced reader/writer. :')
Rabbits Ejaculate in 3 Seconds
I will say it as it is; I'm disappointed. Disappointed that this is not WAY longer!!!! This could have gone on for SO much longer (there was endless potential, very well done, Author~), like 50 chapters long of 'solving the problem' of Mister Hare, for example. I really REALLY thought and wished this would be at least twice as long. Dammit. X'D I hope the side stories won't be shorts without any real connection other than small slice of life moments. But I'm pretty sure that's what they'll be, given the ending was written as it is. ;-; Fingers crossed the author will hear my pleas and continue this someday. I really think there was lots of options for storytelling. Especially now that we know they work together and Mister Hare is such an official figure. Either way, this was amazing and absolutely adorable. The art is impressive, especially those miserable moments of our pretty Black-footed Cat boy. The author has amazing skills to create those chibi expressions. Love it. X'D Needless to say: VERY recommended, despite it being so short.
