It says ongoing and feels like it too, but here's my current (vol.1 ch.5.5) mini review anyway. :) This is all-round a decent comic tbh. Art, writing, characters, everything's really good. It could maybe do with it actually being more emotionally impactful, so it feels like they are actually in love and not just horndogs, but then again, some guys irl are just like that. XD Would say it's worth checking out, so give it a try!

Samishigariya no Love Letter

Complete | Nanoka | 2014 released

The main story is honestly something I'd like to see more often. It's a really adorable concept and gives room for lots of story options! As for the writing, it's a bit too neglected in the falling-in-love corner of things, because that somehow just happened from one moment to the next without any explaination, which made my personal score a little lower for it than it could have been with extra effort in that part of the story. The second story is also really great! With this one the falling in love had already happened but it makes sense and doesn't need explaining. And seeing them work it out, with all the comedic moments and cute chibi art is just nice. <3 A very adorable couple and character dynamic, can't get enough of seeing this type tbh. The last story (chapter 5) is honestly weird. Nevermind the age gap, this story too just jumps from 'no feelings (apparently anyway)' to 'here is a marriage proposal'. There was not a hint of any actual romance going on. Granted, it was a oneshot, but even so there was opportunity to showcase the odd romance going on. It just felt random. Not to mention weird, considering the age gap and IF they both wanted to marry each other, it would mean both had feelings for the other previously (so pre-15 year old character B). And I suppose most can agree that's not exactly a story people like. I know it's different in asia, but still: be warned that this is likely worth skipping if you don't care for seeing a 15 year old X 25(?) year old in a random romance happenstance thingy. Would highly recommend this comic! But again, likely skip the last if you aren't into the age gap thing going on there and prefer good writing. ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭

First of all, the art is great and the overall writing nice, but the core story and character relationship is really dumb at best and nonsensical at least. This is one of those stories that is just nonsensical to me because what they are isn't people in love but rather just fuck buddies who got the weird eureka moment to call themselves a couple/lovers, despite that not being the relationship they have. They like fucking and that's it. Which means: if any of them DO meet a person they actually fall for, this relationship goes to shit faster than you and I can blink. Turning them, basically, into the shitty ex/untrustworthy player character of other stories that we all hate. XD If at least the writing was done in a way to indicate they actually fell for each other, it would change things, but what little 'feelings' there are are either made by horniness or feel incredibly shoehorned at best. It just doesn't feel anything but shallow. And again; a weird choice to decide to 'date' when that isn't really what they should be doing. The art is nice, has funny moments and lots of fap material I suppose, but the story in terms of romance is really just non existent if we look at it in detail and not through the lense of reading a BL comic, so the characters MUST love each other per default. Not my thing, tho the art is great. Check it out i guess but I honestly wouldn't recommend it because of the 'romance' in it. If you're just looking for dudes bonking and being weird and kinda dumb, this might be your jam tho.

MID SPOILER WARNING because itherwise it makes no sense. I'll be honest: The drama aspect was NOT done as well as it could have been. Somehow it lacked emotional impact and was written somewhat strangely so I didn't know whether or not the MC was right or not. And the reveal of Haru pretending was feeling random because of it. If however the author had included chapter 5.5 IN THE STORY at any point prior, this could have worked SO very beautifully. Would have been a real tear-jerker moment in the end with MC misunderstanding and then talking to haru in the park. It's really disappointing the author included this crucial information about Haru's mental state/true feelings as an extra, which is usually ignored or just treated as not relevant to the actual story. That was simply a bad choice. In a way I also think this might have been a bit aimless in writing, maybe that's why the crucial info was added at the end, kind of like a sidenote I personally make in notebooks "include this and that over here so the reader know this was going on". That's what it felt like, a rough draft point being overlooked or someone finishing a story and then thinking: Oh, THIS would have made that moment better, let me add that real quick! The writing overall is really great but this little mistake turned out to be what made the story loose points in terms of writing. Which is a shame since, if you rearrange the extra chapter INTO the story in your mind afterwards, it would be really impressive. :') I still recommend it, but would suggest treating the extra as an inbetween shortly before ch. 5 so it makes the story more impactful.
