A Pushover's Romance

Complete | Moscareto,모스카레토, Hyun Lee | 2000 released

The writing of this feels really off. I could forgive the very obnoxious back and forth from past to present and rinse and repeat, over and over and OVER (without getting to the point in a good manner), but even that becomes unforgivable since it drags on for so long. What bothers me most is the absolute misuse of that AND the miscommunication trope tho. As well as the character behavior: Both of them come across like acting to create a specific moment rather than a moment happening due to them behaving as the person they are. If that makes sense? It feels forced, shoe-horned and random at times even. As if the script didn't think through how to get to the next happening, but we had to get there, so we'll just force it within moments. Both the MC and the ML have personalities that seem bland, again, as if their behavior is rooted in creating the next happening rather than a flowing and cohesive personality. It's just strange. Tho the back and forth without getting anywhere and the annoying misunderstandings really does not help get a real feel for their actual perosnality. It's an interesting story at the core, but the execution is anything but good. And I am certainly not a fan of the main plot basically being miscommunication/misunderstandings galore in and of itself, everything around is basically just a garnish. Not really my thing due to these issues just overstaying their welcome WAY too much. But maybe you can enjoy it. The art is decent, tho I noticed the artist has an issue with not being able to portray some expressions. But i know people can forgive that easily. Check it out, give it a try. It's too annoying for my taste, but maybe you won't mind.

The yandere top father is being teased

Ongoing | 혜보라 | 2022 released

The writing is really not well thought through and honestly nonsensical half the time. Not a fan of the character personalities (everyone feels weird or shallow somehow), art or overall plot that is often weird or random either. The translations being off in terms of grammar doesn't help either. Younger readers can probably have a blast with this. But seasoned readers might wanna look for something else.

My Sadistic Master

Ongoing | Seobyeol,Haseo | 2024 released

I was really hyped to not only see a bearded ML but also one that wasn't a jackass or had rape-y tendecies. Then chapter 7 rolled in and that went out the window. Felt honestly like someone entirely different wrote that chapter, since it didn't align with his precious behavior at all. Not my thing, lost all interest honestly. But maybe someone else can have a blast with it. ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭

The art is off, the dialogue is off and the ML is NOT appealing since he's falling almost down into Uncanny Valley. XD

4 Week Lovers

Ongoing | Maroron | 2019 released

Even the official translation is lackluster in terms of grammar and feels off. The ML is either mental or just weirdly written; his reason for falling in love was literally him realizing the MC is a mega-idiot/ultra-doormat and then he just kissed him and apparently borderline stalked him. The MC is not a character, he's a parody-type tool at best; written in a way that furthers the story rather than behaving like a person with a set personality. The ML's weird, almost creepy obsessive and nonchalant behavior gives major sociopath vibes. Which also goes well with his weird reason for falling in love/immediately kissing the MC out of nowhere. The overall comic cuts out WAY too much, not as annoyingly badly as most webtoons, but it still makes the characters feel shallow, lacking detail and it takes away from the immersion. It's all in all very lacklusterly and shittily done. Not sure why people hype this, but it's not well done. Maybe the novel (if there is one) is better, but even then the ML might feel like a sociopathic freak. Not appealing. Not recommended. Unless you have mid to low writing standards I guess.

Seven Sundays

Ongoing | Charyeok | 2025 released

Really, and I mean REALLY not into this setup of: he cheated, so I'm just gonna try and forget and get back with him. Been a while since I removed a comic from my reading list out of disappointment and lost interest despite the first good impression. :/ You lot have fun, I'mma bail~

My Little Inferno

Complete | ASADA Nemui | 2019 released

Not gonna read further than the MC pissing himself, the ML raping him and then making fun of him when he pukes. Besides threatening him and all that. Sorry, I have standards for at least something pleasant in the beginning. This ain't it.

Koimonogatari

Ongoing | Tagura Tohru | 2000 released

There's just no feeling of interest during reading and the sudden love confession was weird, so I'mma bail.

Reverse Thinking

Ongoing | Lee Geumsan | 2000 released

Aaaaand another one for the list of: Good art wasted on shit story. Why do all these good artists have either bad taste or no self-esteem/value when they associate their art to shitty plots? That's quite the mystery considering artists are usually careful not to get a bad image. Guess dumb BL smut comic artists are different. ╮( ̄ へ ̄)╭
