I could sympathize with all the characters though the storyline was rushed at parts. It felt like a short bad fairytale that kept dragging on without explaining more parts that should have been explained. That's the main reason this didn't pull me in as much as it could have, cause otherwise the plot is superb.

I also feel that it's kind of weird that he develops romantic feelings towards someone he's been watching over (as an adult) since they were a small child - and I'm usually all for age-gap romances. To me, he seems more like a father/guardian figure rather than a love interest from his side at least.
