A Story About The Reaper and a High School Girl Who Will Die in 7 Days
so so SO good. wish this was longer.
Bloody Sweet
started with mina, ended with mina. cute story. was a bit thrown off by her acting like fetechou was going to be bad for her at the start. maybe the author hadn’t come up with an ending yet?
Radio Storm
this was a phenomenal read. I loved every single second of this. The plot line is very well done. Both of the leads were very endearing. I really enjoyed that. We didn’t fully know what was truly going on because there was bias in the perspective that we were observing. I also really enjoyed the dynamic between the two main characters. I also am really satisfied that it was a happy ending because if it was a sad ending, I think I would not have enjoyed this read as much. I feel like this really had a way to entice me to keep reading. Every chapter had a purpose. It never felt like anything was dragging. Ultimately, this was phenomenally done and I have literally no complaints. I was worried going into this that I wouldn’t like the lack of color. But I think that when the color was important, it’s standing out, almost added emphasis to its importance. Ultimately, I just really enjoyed it.
B-Class Guide
this was an entertaining read. I wish we got to see them imprinting on each other. very disappointed we didn’t get to see that. I also wish we got to see more of their private life. Also, the Art isn’t my favorite, but it was still good I guess.
A Trace of the Wonder
this is amazing. I didn’t think this was too special even halfway through reading. I think the concept is very well done and well executed. I think both characters are complex. I think the side characters are very lovable. And I thought the art was beautiful, even if it isn’t my immediate style. But what really made me surprisingly emotional was the main character and his struggle with suicidal ideation. That whole plot point just genuinely made me cry. And when his friends would pass away, told him what we as the readers all understood to be true (that he’s not to blame for their death and that they’re happy that he lived on) I could not stop crying. This was so much better than I thought it was going to be and truly an amazing read.
Cradle of Imae
the art is pretty. storyline is kinda confusing. but i did like the progression. it wasn’t too long i just wish we got more happiness after the conflict was resolved. the plot line and how everything worked out is still super confusing to me lol
The Art of Taming A Tiger
this was an absolutely amazing read. the plot is phenomenal—everything connects so beautifully and with so much intention. it’s a really emotional story; i definitely cried more than once. the art is absolutely stunning too, which made it not just a great story but also a gorgeous visual experience. the romance is super cute and develops at a really nice pace. honestly, i have no complaints. even the short side story was memorable and sweet. overall, i loved the ending and every single aspect of the narrative. if you’re looking for something that tugs at your heartstrings while also offering some introspective moments, this is a perfect choice. i’d honestly love to reread it someday once i’ve forgotten the details just to experience it all over again. i’d totally recommend it to anyone curious about getting into the BL genre.
Love in Orbit
this is another one of those stories i almost didn’t read because i started the first chapter and decided i didn’t like the art style. but i gave it a chance, and i ended up loving it—especially the side characters. they were executed perfectly. there were so many times i just sat there laughing at the artist’s commentary or the panels themselves. there were a ton of genuinely funny moments, and i’d say i’m not someone who laughs easily. i was consistently cracking up while also getting really into the romance between the two main characters. it was honestly such a good read, i’d recommend it to anyone. the whole alien thing almost lost me at first, since i wasn’t sure i’d vibe with that concept, but they pulled it off so well. it ended up being this heartfelt, funny, and super endearing story with a really strong subplot about self-acceptance and figuring out who you are beyond your environment or family. amazingly well done—i thoroughly enjoyed this one.
