The author did a good job making you feel the character's emotions as they battled through all their traumas and pain and then accepting each other and themselves felt really raw and real. It's hard to see these characters going through such devastating experiences knowing this happens everyday to real people. I ended up hoping the 3 of them would bring healing by leaning on each other and eventually loving, accepting and not blaming themselves for circumstances they had no control over and didn't deserve
