Nice oneshot. Not a yaoi but not a shoujo either (even though I tagged shoujo) because the hero and heroine are 40 and 32. It’s more of a message about not forgetting your career dreams and being happy with what you have achieved even if it’s not much.

DNF. I’m not a fan of infatuated/love-blind heroine chasing cold, indifferent hero who keeps rejecting her. Got bored by ch5. Maybe I’ll try this again one day. No smut where I read to. Not the worst read but I like my romances romantic.

DNF @ch4. I’m not into Cinderella ukes and asshole, entitled semes. Wasn’t the worst written story but it’s just not for me. Maybe I may pick it back up when there’s nothing left in my TBR list.

2.5 stars. Ex Step siblings. Hero’s a bit of a self absorbed douche who lets the heroine do all the hard work while he just watches her being forced into sexually embarrassing situations and gets turned on, but it’s interesting enough to continue for now. DNF @ch10 - had to stop due to lack of interest. Not excited to continue reading about a useless, unhelpful male lusting after a bimbo stepsis for another 10 chapters.

Dammit. I hate cheating tropes but this one is pretty sexy, so it gets a quasi pass. Warning: it’s still super early in the chapters so it might get worse from here. Hero is trash. Update ch10: rapey revenge plot twist. Cos rape can always be justified when served on a revenge platter *eyeroll*. This story is going downhill. DNF @ch11: not enjoying this shit anymore. Not caring about the characters or ending is a big no, no for me. Removing it from any lists I have.

Geeze. I can’t find myself hating this story. Don’t look for a fluffy romance in this one, but I do hope after all the rape and horrible crap the seme does, he eventually rewards us with some fluffiness. Update ch39: nope, no fluffiness here...
