Story flow and pacing is uh…choppy. The meh translations definitely gave this story a more amateur and cringier vibe, worsened by the terrible stiff-ass art. The author couldn’t draw expressions past the mild stage to save her life LUL The plot is technically dark and explores lots of familial abuse, but the stiff art and dialogues took me out of the immersion :/ The character development was super meh too Lmao at the moment of confrontation b/w MC and Beiguang (2nd ML), MC jumped hoops to make a super specific psychoanalysis of Beiguang’s trauma. It was right cuz the author said so, but man that could’ve gone so wrong… A lot of conflicts, actions and their rationale (trauma backstory) just felt so shallow. It was essentially some deep topics explored in the shallowest manner possible, like the author read an intro psych textbook then drafted this story

I love how the main couple became really soft for each other in the later chapters It was an enjoyable and adorable read :))) Also the side characters are bomb asf PUPPY SEME PUPPY SEME

Ngl the backstory don’t really make sense enough to explain seme’s behaviours but ehhhhhhhh ok ig Nice smut

Wonderful story! Strong MC, fleshed out side characters, perfect pacing, super engaging storyline, compelling conflicts, heart-racing moments, NOICE ANGST, etc etc MC’s habit of shutting down emotionally and talking robotically to those she hates strikes a strong chord lol This is an awesome tense read (with some alleviating comfort and fluff, but it’s more angst than fluff)

Had very mature discussions, smut’s great, nice hurt comfort

Had really nice potential plot, but as a one-shot things were severely limited (only tiny glimpse of tragic backstory lol) If it was longer maybe it’d be a nicer read? Awesome art (mediocre smut tho)

Scratches a nice D/S itch, though the dangerous nature of the prisoner was never really…revealed? Like it’s an elephant in the room that the manga blatantly ignored lol Context aside the hurt comfort was rly nice Awesome art too Ngl the story could’ve done a lot more with itself, it had the right setup for angst, trauma-bonding and drama. But the author really wanted to focus on the smut and just,,,made the story 50% smut lol

Hahahaa super enjoyable I shouldn’t say it’s mad cute cuz it’s about a sheltered serial killer and a Stockholm syndrome’d (?) uke, but….IT CUTE LOL IT’S ALSO MAD FUNNY AHSJSNDKSNSKDN
