start/fin: 11/26/19 Ending seems too rushed. Wanted to see more about the modern life... But I appreciate how the mangaka didn't show Haru actually servicing customers. Knowing it already hurts, so it would've been more painful to see what she had to endure and how many other men had their way on her... The concept of their time slip is pretty cool, but would've been cooler if expounded. So basically, they time slipped to Edo Period w/ 4-yr difference, but when they "died" in the fire, they didn't return together. They came back to the days their actual accident happened, meaning there's also a 4-yr difference. The vague part is how Shouhei actually found Haru's address and send those messages. and ofc, how that phone lasted months alive and even got signal despite having no signal towers. manga logic, I guess... So, yeah, at that time, Shouhei has already gone back to the modern period (even though he's still in Edo Period) 4 years earlier.. It's pretty unrealistic, but cool concept.

start: 12/31/19 fin: 01/01/20 *Found out about this webtoon from a comment in Pinocchio saying they have similarities, and I got curious. Well, what do I say? I don't regret rushing over to finish it as soon as I can. :3 I really loved it! It also made me tear up.. I liked that they ended up "happily ever after" but I wanted more! C'mon! I wanted to see more about how they deal with Jack's lost memory of Go Eun. Btw, what disappointed me a bit about Go Eun's character is how close she was to Aiden, more than necessary.. And I was hoping she only blushed and whatever with Jack... I dunno, even when they were first in Jack's ghost house, she was already aware of how "touchy" Aiden was being with her but she didn't really do anything about it... Even when she was already with Jack. She could've told him to keep his distance or something. I'm just thankful that Aiden's not the character to be really pushy and force himself on her, otherwise, it'd be too troublesome to deal with. I was heartbroken for Jack for the last few chapters, but oh well... Everything turned out well in the end. <3

start/fin: 02/27/20 * I wished to see more of Hwi/Yeon Sun x Mi Soo moments when she finally lived as a woman.. Errr.. Anyway, honestly, I was quite confused with the first few chapters esp because of the queen mother (paternal grandma) and the maternal grandmother (wife of Lord Han).. I had to do a double take when queen mother was talking to the "girl" Mi Soo about being a prince and hiding his identity. I was confused at first 'cos I thought it was the maternal grandma and wasn't the "prince" supposed to be crossdressing as a man, not vice versa? Then I realized that they both had to crossdress. :p *Had some issues with the timeline of the kings mentioned tho, but I just push it aside thinking, well, this is fictional anyway. lol *ps. I'm so glad Mi Soo truly stayed faithful to her 'til the end, and there were no b***** female rivals. :D

Btw, that blond guy smells like a rival, but as of now, Rael's more of a rival in Ishid's eyes. lol. His angry aura was too intense after seeing Rael act close and even tie Yuni's hair. XD ...

start: 04/15/20 FIN: 04/19/20 ----- CH 291 @ ZINMANGA Translations aside, I guess this manhua really wanted to incorporate a lot of tropes (one night stand, campus couple, workplace romance, showbiz, etc) but ultimately with the gods & devils. It's not perfect, especially 'cos the translations hurt my brain a lot, but I somehow managed to weave the story in my head to make it seem as smooth as possible so yeah.. Just have to learn to adapt (especially with the names changing a lot, e.g. ML's name in the beginning was Feng Ye Ti but later on became Feng Lie, Athena > Ya Dian Na (I guess translator literally just translated in per character instead of as a whole, same with Aphrodite > A Fuo Lo Di Te (there even was a time that it was A Fuo Ming Di Te lol), etc. ps. I really appreciated how devoted ML was to FL, seeing him being straightforward and decisive that he only wants the FL despite a lot of female wannabes.. He never even gave them the chance. He's that decisive. Save for that time when he broke up with her to "protect" her and let her live a normal life (he's afraid that when he transforms again, he might not be able to control himself again and hurt her), where he let that other woman accompany him to the party (though he basically ignored her and told her straight that she didn't have a chance with him.). Thank goodness he never really gave her up though 'cos he was always protecting her in the shadows. And thank goodness for FL confronting this problem head on, and ready to do what it takes to be with him again. Well, in the beginning, ML was truly overbearing, but it's satisfying to see how he reacted to himself when he was trying to recover his lost human memories (like, he was literally ready to fight himself for his bad behavior towards FL lol).. Really appreciated FL's bravery and determination as well, so things ended really well. Yeyyy~

It's like some sentences are not related or jump from one thought to another. Well, I basically got the gist of it, but it was kinda difficult. Anyway, just glad to see them together in the end.

start/fin: 05/18/20 ~ END @ VOL 2 CH 31 *adapted to Kdrama: Extraordinary You ~ Ahhhh this was sooo good! Ofc there were some loopholes and unanswered questions, but I guess we can leave it to our imaginations. I wanted to see more of Haru x DanOh though~~ esp with that new 'isekai' comic. kkk... Anyway, I really teared up in the last few chapters. It was heartbreaking yet beautiful, and I'm just glad they persevered and got back together in the end. <3

start/fin: 05/18/20 ~ end @ ch 6 I wish there were more chapters. Kinda didn't like knowing about Rin... and Ui being a player.. but it helped a lot that mangaka didn't show scenes of him being with other guys. It just kind of irks me if I had to visualize it or compare it with his current partner. But ofc, he was free to be with whoever he wanted when they weren't really together before. Just wanted to point this out, like I appreciate him not "comforting" Rin that night even though that would've been the norm if Natsu wasn't there. And about the issue of switching "roles" I get that he passed it off as a joke, but I wish he was more open to it. After all, uke used to be straight. He could've wanted to do it that way too. Oh well, to each their own. As long as they're happy and contented with each other. ('cos in other cases, their partner's refusal may lead them to find another guy who's willing to bottom for them..) [I mean, I get that BL/Yaoi is basically a fantasy genre for hetero females, but the others are simply like Shoujo/Josei manga where female MC is just changed to "male" .. Well, for more manly couples, others may suggest "bara" but I'm not really into that. I just want a BL/Yaoi manga where both partners are willing to compromise and keep an open mind about these things... /rant over]
