Hitori to Hitori no 3650nichi

Complete | hitomi | 2019 released

The art is GORGEOUS. And it took her years to finish, so it only gets better as it goes. By the end of the main story, it blew me away. This is such a sad and beautiful story. I absolutely loved it. It's so rare for people to explore the psychological aspects of sexual assault and the way that people can internalize these things. The connection he made to his past mistake was a way for him to cope with what happened to him, but it only hurt him further. This is actually much more common in sexual abuse survivors than people probably realize. The love between them is so tender and so genuine. I love them so much and could read all about them forever. I can't wait for this mangaka to release more stuff. It really clicks with my crying fetish, too. I kinda feel like the mangaka has a crying fetish herself, because there's crying in almost every chapter, lol.

Bound to Be Fools

Complete | Gahyun | 2019 released

Dude, I hate Jun SO MUCH. He's such a selfish piece of shit. He didn't even think of Kangjin that entire time, like he totally forgot about him and didn't regret how cruel he was. He never apologized or anything. I hate this because you know they're gonna legit fall back in love and get together, but I want Jun to actually fall in love and then have his heart destroyed. He's awful. The story focuses so much on him and his hardships, but why the hell are we expected to care? He did something horrible and never even felt bad about it. Even after seeing what he did to him, Jun is just like, oh no, he's seeing me at a low point! Screw you, Jun. It's so unsatisfying right now at chapter 16, but if Jun really gets what's coming to him, I'll raise my score for the manga. EDIT: I still hate Jun. I don't care if he finally apologized in chapter 22. It was such a weird, lame, flat apology after what he did. It's like he didn't even give a crap that whole time. But according to the comments, I'm the only person who feels this way, so I guess I'll just have to vent by myself. Break his stupid heart, Kangjin! EDIT: So he didn't end up with either guy, which was an interesting choice, but wtf was with that ending? "Yay, I'm getting discharged!" THE END. We don't get any other hints as to how his life is going? It felt like an afterthought, like okay, Jun has accepted he doesn't love him anymore, Chisoo has accepted they can never be together, so he's not important anymore. I think really the author just got tired of drawing it or something, because the ending seems tacked on. Maybe originally he was supposed to die. I'd almost prefer that because this feels kind of cheap. But okay. Whatever. At least Jun never got what he wanted. I'm also glad Chisoo never lost it and went after them, which is what I thought might happen. I'm glad I skipped a good portion of this, though. It doesn't feel like anything ever truly resolved.

Kimi no Sumire

Complete | Arima Arashi | 2020 released

Aw, that was a very sweet little manga. Nothing too complex, just a sweet little story about two boys who like each other. I would have liked more development and such, like with the other student, but that's okay. It was just a nice, simple read.

Tachi Neko

Complete | ENDO Makio | 2020 released

Seme is a dick for 23 chapters, gets his happy ending regardless. I wish it had focused more on the guy having to hurt due to his own selfishness, but I swear the shitty semes never have to suffer for long, if at all. I also don't get it in the sense that he was so girl crazy. He's bisexual at the very least, and Kota was straight. So why is it Kota who's all touchy feely for him and uninterested in girls? I just felt like it should have touched on all of that more. It wrapped up so simply, and I wanted to punch both of them for different reasons. I guess I'll still give it a four because there we other things I liked about it, but I dunno. It's so rare for the seme to truly suffer. I think I saw it like one time, and it was super sad because he never got to even try to make up for how crappy he'd been because the uke died. Anyway, that's what he gets, I guess.

Help Me, Teacher

Complete | Soorak | 2000 released

Lol, just a dorky little smut comic, but it was cute enough. I thought the Alphas were hot, but the Omega was... okay. Kinda plain. The nurse, though. More with him, man. Anyway, it was simple and straightforward. If you're looking for a threesome in omegaverse, that's literally all this is. XD

Someone else's BL Manhwa

Complete | Bobari , 보바리 | 2000 released

Awwwwww! What a sweet comic! I like that it handled real life issues for lgbt people in Korea, and it basically portrayed a lot of different ways to be a guy who likes guys. I like that it also had an open, hopeful ending for some characters, where the happy ending isn't a relationship, but finding a way to make yourself ready to receive one when the time is right. Very wholesome overall, though I would have liked to see more with the parents and the whole coming out thing. But I like the way the characters all grew and changed. And I like the idea of them all being friends in the future. I think they will be. ^^

Sensei no Kenkyu

Complete | Maruguruto matsushita | 2019 released

Can't say I love this. It's not the best translation, but I can tell the dialogue wouldn't be amazing anyway. It's just disjointed, rushed, and full of possessive semes with an idiotically polite uke. Like, "No, no, don't rape me! ...Oh, okay, thanks for the cocoa!" Give me a break, guy. There's no chemistry between the main pair, and there's no character development, so it's just this weird, flat story with no real intrigue. Maybe something will change as it goes, but I doubt it. On top of that, the art is pretty shitty, so yeah, I'm not here for it.

Double Fake

Complete | Jita | 2019 released

Hmmm.... Interesting so far. I was actually thinking of writing something regarding a drug that can reverse a bonded pair. I feel like this has potential to be something stronger than it is. But it's only three chapters. Maybe I'll like where it goes from here. Hopefully there'll be an update soon.
