The ML's lack of class is on par with some of the great cads of history. He not only parades his unending succession of hoes in front of his innocent childhood friend, he makes her write up sex friend contracts with them and handle the breakups since he's too much of a coward to do it himself. He takes her for granted and manipulates her right and left. I'm sorry, but he doesn't even have the gonads to make a good man-whore. He was nothing more than a pile of excreta. Side Note: Why is it only women who can be used goods? Double Standard much?

The ML was an unempathetic idiot as well as being a totally crappy father. She should have let the dog bite the hell out of him. He was also breaking the law by pretty much ignoring what his brother was doing with the company. He also “let his brother go home” after catching him beating up the FL and attempting to rape her and then hearing that he attempted to rape the ML’s late wife, killed her, and then threatened his then 5 year old son with death. Nasty little bro is obviously a totally self-absorbed psychopath who gets pleasure out of rape and torture, and big bro seems to be sad that the corporate board will sue said psychopath when he should be riding his brother’s head down a very long flight of concrete stairs, or at the very least calling the police and watching him hauled off in handcuffs to be tried for attempted rape, assault and battery, and murder.

Wow... He really, really sucked! He should be kicked to the curb... and from a speeding Ferrari, no less. I would suggest that he needs meds, but you can't cure a combination of abject stupidity and a mouth that immediately says the most hurtful and unforgivable things the instant he's annoyed.

The ML's excuses for acting like a total scumbag were about as believable as a politician's campaign promises. As to papa dearest, I would have put his cane where the sun doesn't shine.

Wow! Was he a total butthead, or what? His "aristo" mother was a real piece of work too, basically saying, "You're marrying my son, but you're a commoner, unlike me, so you don't have any finer feelings for me to hurt." Grandpa apparently did love his granddaughter, but with all his convoluted and wannabe devious schemes, it's no wonder that the grandmother divorced him and took off for America.

He sure wasn’t much of a catch. He has all the manners of a drunken mafia underling and does nothing but insult , sexually harass, and sexually assault the FL. I guess that in HarlequinWorld it’s impossible to be a sleazebag sexual predator if you’re rich and handsome. Is the message supposed to be that you should treat girls you like as though they’re whores and they will immediately fall for you? Sorry to be such a curmudgeon but that is: 1. An insult to all women 2. Disgusting 3. Really, really stupid.

Well, it wasn’t the absolute worst, but the ML turned around from being a judgemental and vindictive horny a**hole into a wonderful lover and father at the drop of a hat. Could be (and probably is) just bad writing, but in real life, any woman of brains would probably be waiting for the switch to flip back and put him in a**hole mode.

I kind of liked the plot and loved the FL's character (although I wish she had told her mother to blow it out her barracks bag), but the ML's character pretty much stuck in my craw, so to speak. If he had a couple of girlfriends or so in the time they were apart, that's one thing, but when he becomes the number one man-whore of all time and his excuse is kind of, "Well, I'm a man," he suddenly turns into nearly everything I dislike about my own gender. Double standards are somewhat inevitable, but definitely not to this degree.

Typical Michelle Reid ML: Believes anything bad about the girl he "loves," Never asks her side of anything, Never listens to what she has to say (often not even allowing her to say anything), and always feels like he's on the moral high ground even when boinking someone else to get back at her. Oh yes, since his revenge is so righteous, he can do anything illegal or unethical against her and he's still on the moral high ground. Also, when his utter stupidity and how wrong he's been is proved to him, a token sort of apology is enough for total forgiveness and trust of him to be restored. After all, he's a Harlequin man, a.k.a. the perfect specimen of Homo sapiens sapiens.
