Ring in a Teacup
What an a**hole. Rude as hell and belittles a young girl (just because you worked all night, blah, blah). Then, after they’re engaged, he still hangs with someone he knew was a lying, malicious bitch and is secretive as hell. Also, I don’t know about upper crust Dutch families, but in my family vicious relatives who try to break up other people’s marriages aren’t welcome at any gathering. In fact, they would be cut out like a malignant tumor. This is just a typical Betty Neels with a butthead doctor acting all stupid and condescending to a younger woman.
Her Sicilian Baby Revelation
"I would never take our son away from you. I only threatened that to get closer to you." Dude, do you line your hat with aluminum foil to keep the gamma rays from invading your brain! How about kevlar underwear to keep the Martians from hitting you with a sterilization ray?
For Pleasure... Or Marriage
Well, he sure started off as the world's most entitled, un-empathetic jerkwad. Thank goodness he mellowed out quite a bit and gained a touch of humility, otherwise he would have been intolerable. Not a bad read. I did notice, however, that the mangaka seems to have a thing for the late actor Christopher Plummer, as the ML, his cousin, and the scumbag who tried to get the FL to go away with him all looked like him.
The Kouros Marriage Revenge
Aaannd - we have another hate-filled, revenge-minded alphahole who jumps to conclusions like NBA players after a rebound. And then, he discovers that he was totally wrong (imagine that) and turns into Mr. Rogers in the twinkling of an eye. Sorry, but I don't buy it. And everyone who had known the innocent 17 year old since she was a child immediately believed that she was Lucretia Borgia and Cruella DeVille rolled into one. Then she gives all her shares in her father's company to her idiot uncle who immediately destroys the business. If no one else noticed: the only reason the ML was able to blackmail her into his revenge was by threatening her better feelings toward her uncle and his children. If she was the sociopathic slut he "knew" her to be, she would have laughed in his face. So he was dumb as a box of rocks, too (besides being a misogynistic man-whore).
Expectant Mistress
Was there anyone in this story worth the powder to blow them up? On first reading, I didn't notice one, and I'm damned if I'll read it again to make sure.
The Italian's Ruthless Seduction : Rich, Ruthless and Renowned I
I did enjoy the story to a point, but the ML would have improved by having his butt royally kicked a few times. "I want to seduce a girl I've known since she was 10, and my little step-sister, so I can get her out of my mind and then marry a homebody, obedient Italian girl" is a plan made up by a sick a**hole. Did he think hard to come up with the most hurtful and unforgivable things to say when he kicked her to the curb as well? Maybe he can get her pregnant and then dump her like last week's garbage. That should make it perfect to immediately rush into his ideal, life-long marriage.
A Diamond Deal with Her Boss
What a useless moron. “I’m going to get married and have kids for my grandma’s sake, but I really want to boink you for now.” Then…”Why did she leave me? What did I do wrong?” Do they get any more dumb than that? I guess I should stay tuned to this station.
Kept by her Greek boss
I hated the fact that he basically blackmailed her into marriage, and especially that he wouldn't take no for an answer about sex before she knew she was pregnant. I think the thing that got me riled the most was the fact that while she was obviously unhappy, he kept smirking and making remarks about how he owned her and she couldn't do anything about it. That doesn't make me think very highly of his degrees of kindness and empathy or his powers of observation. It almost seems like he was gloating over the fact that he had put her in a helpless, no-win situation. Isn’t that called schadenfreude?
The Billionaire's Blackmailed Bride
My God, that was bad. If you want revenge that badly and have that mindset, just murder random innocent people. It's no different and a lot cheaper. When the idiot asked her, "What can I do to gain your forgiveness?", she should have told him to jump off the Empire State Building in the nude screaming, "I love Bozo the Clown," all the way down.
