THE AMOUNT OF TEARS I CRIED FOR THIS
Keeper of the Pearl
It’s definitely a 5 stars moving and heartwarming story, but I’ll give 4 because of the lack of elements about the story between the secretary and the mc’s cousin who didn’t have any development and ending. The whole family part was so damn cute, while the reincarnation one was tearful af. I also love the childbirth dreams’ concept.
Someone else's BL Manhwa
Fun fact: at first I thought Seunghee would end up with Seungtaek. When I realised that the author was moving the focus to Seungtaek and Kyubin instead, I understood it’d be a very promising manhwa to read, and in the end I can confirm it. Even tho the plot felt at times a little bit dragged, I enjoyed each character’s journey, I cried and empathised with all of them. Suhyeok with his lazy ass and bed hair, his protective and affectionate side, and his reserved but bold behaviour totally represents one of my ideal boyfriend’s archetypes. I fell for him completely. Seunghee was pretty annoying at the beginning, and his “fling” (let’s call it that even tho nothing really happened between them) with that thirty-years-old geezer really mad me f*cking mad. I found Seunghee’s naivety not cute at all, but pretty stupid instead!! Nevertheless I appreciated his characters’ growth (that Suhyeok highlights in the end when he notices how Seunghee has become more friendly and easygoing towards strangers). Eventually I ended up enjoying Seunghee and Suhyeok’s story the most (even tho Kyubin being whipped and dazed for his hero Seungtaek is like the cutest thing ever!!). The character I appreciated the most because of the emotional damage he inflicted to me is Kwon Imbeom. I considered him annoying at first, because he was always third wheeling my fav couple, but the revelation of his short-term memory loss left me dumbstruck and the fact that he didn’t remember his crush made me kinda sad too. But the most emotional scene happened right after he regained his memories and casually met Seungtaek again (who welcomed him with a punch
Imawa No Kuni No Alice
The Borderlands being the place where souls physically go during near-death experiences was not a very surprising plot-twist, but the story in the complex was good af. It studied the human psychology, human instincts of survival and protectiveness towards other human being or towards themselves, it studies their journey of growth and in the end the survivors are all brighter like new people who don’t care about their past anymore. I don’t really care about Arisu and Usagi. I’m so freaking sad that all the survivors don’t remember each other and the impact they had in each others’ lives, especially Doudou, Agni and the legless girl, I wanted to see them becoming a family
Angel Buddy
okay there’s a happy ending but sooho is human while taker is not, therefore I’d like to know what will happen once sooho gets too old, I don’t think taker can make him become a deity but I don’t think sooho can escape death forever either...
