The Hounds of Sisyphus

Ongoing | 945 | 2000 released

I'm having a hard time believing the doctor's story. I feel there is some truth to it, but at the same time it feels like there's more behind it. For one, I can see why he'd refuse to save or abandon anyone that isn't "useful" but idk if he would go as far as killing them so brutally. Though if he did crush them to death it was to prevent the bodies to re-animate and become zombies. But why wouldn't he have given the doc's wife and kids a chance to prove themselves before killing them? It doesn't make sense because why is he keeping the little kids of the town alive? We can argue that in Guwon's twisted mind they represent the ideal picture of the future of humanity but they are also a liability and take valuable resources to raise. Guwon would have killed them too but he didn't. I do still think Guwon is crazy in the head, but maybe he has a spilt personality of some sort? Half human, half dead person persona that is making act so strange and confusing. That man was created and not born. That’s why he doesn’t understand human nature. He can’t be held accountable for the things he has been taught. Why he can go for hours!!! He has never experienced those things. He is still a green flag!!! Put that fucking battle axe away This is my theory. I think Heo killed his father. In one of the previous chapters, Heo has head pains and a flashback when Guwon beats a zombie to death. In the flashback, we see arms beating either another person or a zombie. Importantly, the arms we see, are not Guwons arms, they are white. I think Heo killed his father, and I suspect that the person hitting someone in his flashback was his father, and that his father could have been beating Heo, possibly over food or lack of resources. I think his father may have tried to kill him, and Heo killed him is self defense. Due to the traumatic nature of this event and the injury he sustained, his brain got rid of it. The memories being triggered by similar actions carried out by Guwon, is due to Heos guilty subconscious possibly linking him and Guwon as the same, even if the instances weren't. This is further supported by the flashback from the last chapters showing Heos shillouet possibly strangling something. I believe think it is feasible that Guwon didn't kill Heos father, and that it is possible that Guwon may have seen Heo kill his father. It would also explain some of Guwons favoritism to Heo as well, especially when we have the context of him treating the hounds well, due to their fighting prowess. I do also think the reason Heo may have killed his father could be more fucked up than self defense, I'm actually certain it is, but the above theory is me giving Heo the benefit of the doubt.
