I like qi yan story. And the first story. After that the whole thing becomes so confusing and a mess. Just couldn’t keep reading. There’s not much in terms of explanation. Had potential but wouldn’t really spend time on this.
Prime Minister in Disguise Webtoon
A well done piece of work. I like the historical setting and the plot very much . There’s always a new development and the manhua isn’t completely focused on romance at all. Chenfeng is very admirable and so is li zifan. I like uncle prime minister and general don too. Still sad about cao man. Sigh. The real war is beginning and I’m excited to see it!
Shen Sheng
This turned into one beautiful story. The beginning was quite interesting but there was the whole problematic issue of teacher/student shit which is just abuse of authority and all sorts of ethical problems. Sheng is such. Well done character with strong beliefs, resilience and the spirit to fight. He’s unapologetic for being himself and loves truly. And oh so tsundere. Teacher cheng mu is cute too. Love his mom. Our blonde boi is adorable af but I kinda dislike his brother because grooming vibes plus incest kind of? And the whole situation with their father was never explained. We also don’t know what happens in future much. Sheng and cheng story wrapped up very beautifully. Definitely amazing. But I want blondie and the bro closure. Like wtf happened there ...
Raising a Bat
This is definitely a masterpiece. The story was complex, brilliant and dark. The characters are intricate with real depth, the plot advances well enough with little to no plot holes. There’s also very real facets of relationships and how trauma can affect you. I especially love that part where MC just flat out decided not to forgive that trash ex of his. That was an extremely powerful scene, one I haven’t seen in any other manga. Also the scene where he didn’t forgive his father. It’s a very very well done plot where we see the MC go to the lowest and how he rises again with his love. There’s many personal and family issues but we see a realistic take on most of them. Sams family is also so amazing, his parents are the bar for good parents in a way! Minji is also such a sweet sister and I love it. Sam is absolutely adorable and best bae ever. Sweet and considerate, non toxic and just so very beautiful. Patient, kind and strong, he’s exactly who MC needs. I just feel so satisfied with this manhwA. A must read!
Salad Days (Tang LiuZang) Webtoon
I am in awe. Hands down one of the most beautiful art styles I’ve ever seen in a manga. The surreal quality is astounding! The writing also has a poetic quality and matches well with the art. The characters are also drawn so exquisitely beautiful. Both bai and shen are gorgeous af, the side characters as well. The village life and connectedness is displayed wonderfully, the parental love and devotion as well. Staying true to dreams is a key theme of this manhua and it’s presented oh so well! The story and plot is equally as beautiful and it’s so soft! There’s no toxic problematic themes (other than some mysogyny from the boxers to dancers, but not to the point where it’s harmful). I cannot wait for further chapters and to see how love blooms.
Where the Dragon's Rain Falls
A brilliant manhwa that is intricate, complex, well-written with dark, gritty themes uncommon to the BL scene. I’ve never read a manhwa that has been in a historical setting and had such a well crafted plot and storytelling. Suu is a strong character who has so many facets, it never ceases to suspense. Syreon is also not without his struggles and is quite frightening. Sahara is still much of a mystery but his affection for Su is quite intense. There’s so much of this manhwa that I wanna uncover one the upcoming updates. The lies, betrayals, masks that they all wear, power games and the court games are never uninteresting and this whole world draws you in and suffocates you. What strikes at the heart most is how gritty and dark the themes explored are and how well it is all integrated into the story with superb art as well. I cannot wait for more! I NEED more!
Deliverance of the Counterattack
Dramatic as hell, twisted with angst, revenge and dark shit. It’s interesting af. And the fact that he’s either intersex or omega verse? That’s another plus point. I love strong ci nian because he’s now such a fierce unapologetic badass. Mafia dark daddy is hot af and I understand why he’s obsessed with cinan ass but he needs to fucking stop forcing himself on cinan I’m living for the day when the younger brother shit gets even more fucked up for what he did. That revenge act was so fulfilling! Looking forward to more drama and uncensored hot scenes
Lock You Up
The plot is interesting with intense elements of trauma, revenge and irresistible love. Qin really is such a sweet boy. Cheng is an asshole but he’s really traumatized and the author does a good job of delving into his issues and helping us understand him. However he should have gotten therapy. What qins mom did wasn’t his dad or qins fault like wtf?? He’s a manipulative bastard. I hope qin finds out the truth. It looks like he does know something. The new updates dropped and SHIT WENT down! That was fucking satisfying. Definitely highlights how important therapy and treatment are! Now I’m just screaming for uncle and Xiaochen
A Pair of Otakus
Hilariously cute, with depth and uplifting themes. I absolutely adore Xiao Nian to death, he’s superb fierce, badass af, doesn’t take shit from anybody and is so so brave. I love su luo for being such an adorable fluffball. Xixi is such a cutie too she’s nice. Can’t wait to see them get together
