Tonari no Banken
THEY’RE TOO CUTE! i needed more… they’re the epitome of the childhood friends pairing. i liked how kiyo was lowkey kind of obsessive (e.g. him putting a gps on hana). they both like each other so much!! i just needed to see more of hana with his long hair haha
Owner of the (Animal) Detective Agency
This was so cute! I enjoyed reading about their detective shenanigans and them flirting while doing it haha. Their pets are too adorable like the fat cat and the parrot. I liked the extra where we got to see more of their dynamic as lovers. Good, comedic read.
Shishunki Cherry Bullet
I LOVE THIS!! they were so cute and funny. absolutely adored the established relationship fluff. i love how they author just took so many romance staples and broke them like… asahi (ML) knew that the girl azusa was with was his sister. his reactions to potential misunderstandings were so refreshing and very much of a green flag. enjoyed the comedy a lot. healthy relationship with good communication. the art was *delicious* one of the best of this genre out there
I Can't Believe I've Been Reincarnated and Fallen in Love with My Favorite Character of a Shoujo
too friggin short. the fl having second male lead syndrome is so real. they were so sweet; i need a slow burn ver!! i love plots like this. the mc “helps” the ml confess to the one who he supposedly likes, but he actually like him! art was super good as well
The yandere top father is being teased
this isn’t slow burn… there are barely any embers. still, i like it! it’s pretty classic. it reminds me of some danmei novels i’ve read. i like that the mc is honest about how he’s a different person from the original host and how he’s from another world. you don’t see that often. it makes this alpha x omega pairing more unique. the mc’s dense and almost naive, but it’s not to the point it’s veru frustrating. i like the family vibes, and their kids (hyeol and kkotsu) are too cute!! very comedic, light read.
Instructor Chiba Isn’t Flattered
I need a second volume right neow. I loved this (and the Initial D reference)! It was indeed very refreshing. The setting is different as it is in a driving school. It's very clear that the leads are adults, and I liked how the leads communicated healthily and didn't allow any misunderstandings to persist. The romance felt very natural, and the art was just *chef's kiss*. So beautiful. It did kind of feel underwhelming, though, with nothing much for me to take home really. What was that dumb plot point with the ex coming back... Seemed unnecessary to me. This story didn't need more drama. The author could've expanded on Yaotome (the ML) literally using Chiba (the MC) for his manga... But still a good read.
Hooked on a Rental Boyfriend! Loving Sex on Demand
New Alpha Son, Old Omega Father
Yeah, this is just a no. You can’t try justifying this… The huge age gap… the fact the ml calls the mc “dad” for 90% of the story. the pseudo incest— what’s with the supposed happy ending… the mc gives birth to his almost-son’s child??? i feel bad for the kid, man. the exhibitionism, too… barf. why make this. just why.
Sorekara, Kimi wo Kangaeru
I usually don’t like one shot anthologies, but this one was pretty good! The stories all kind of balanced each other. The first two were about a rather bittersweet, unfulfilled love, and the others felt a bit more hopeful in nature. I especially liked the third one! It was very fluffy, the one with the delinquent-looking guy and otaku. The second one was the weakest story-wise imo. The first and last ones were very atmospheric and felt realistic (in part due to the art). Good read.
Romance, But Not Romantic
