I've Become the Villainous Empress of a Novel
Review: The storyline has been so good far. It has comedic elements, awesome fight scenes, fantastic art—what could you not like about this? One aspect I am really intrigued in is “loyalty.” A powerful empress must have loyal subjects. I am curious as to how that will play out. I’m so hyped for this comic even though I’ve already binge-read all of it. The potential this has is ASTRONOMICAL. The adrenaline that ran through my veins—I simply cannot begin to describe the emotions I felt while reading this. I love this. I have not praised a comic this much since, what I feel, is forever. Comment: I haven’t thirsted over a character so much in my life. Julia can RUIN ME, and I’d thank her for it. How is she so attractive? Her personality is just—*chef’s kiss* Julia, Julia, Julia . . . I LOVE YOU. The males cannot compare. Side note: Caught up to chapter 38.
The Lady and the Beast
I found another one. Let’s see how this goes. Review: The plot has been smooth sailing so far. I haven’t gained enough information just yet to properly judge this comic, but I predict that this will become more elaborate. The art style was not quite my cup of tea at first, but I found myself warming up to it as it went on. I like Astina’s personality. I liked the characters so far, and I look forward to where this goes! Comment: I think that Theodore might be the reincarnation of her past love. I don’t actually know any spoilers, so I don’t know. I have an inkling, though. Also, Astina can domesticate me. Oh, to be the duke.(◞‸◟)Update (Chapter 24): Why is Theodore so freaking hot? I’ve been waiting for this one. Side note: Caught up to chapter 65
Wagging the Tail Webtoon
Short but still good. Love my furries. Fox ML obviously has his share of trauma, but they were brushed aside to end the story. Rushed. I share the same sentiment as other readers in that I wish there were more BL with intricate plots with reversible couples.
The Princess in the Dumpster
Review: It’s a bit too early to tell, like other commenters have said, but I think this manhwa definitely has potential. I like the art, and I think that despite the dark undertones, there will be comedic parts of this comic before descending into a more angsty theme. I like our protagonist. She has a sort of animal like behavior, since she was raised mostly on her own. I can see this becoming more popular. Love it so far! Can’t wait to find out more about our protagonist. update: the ml is her guardian figure sigh
Love Shuttle
There are lots of steamy moments in here. Very clear and who’s uke and seme. Honestly, I think it would be fine without those moments. Also, I really need to stop reading yaoi. Update: It was really cute! I liked how it explored their dynamic. It was really funny, and the side couples were good, too. The art is *mwah*. ALSO, DOYUN AND TAEHAN IN GLASSES DOYUN AND TAEHAN IN GLASSES. The secondhand embarrassment was really hard to get through at first, but it turned out to be okay. I’m a sucker for established relationship fluff. The MC was a bit too naive and stupid for my liking tbh.
Mayday mayday mayday!
My Starry Sky
Review: The character development was unreal. This was one of the things the author excelled at implementing into their comic. At first, I disliked Skyler without seeing his side of the story. I liked how we got know more about both of them. I feel that more could have been done about Skyler’s situation, though. It’s clear they both had trauma and needed mental help. I read the ending slowly. I enjoyed reading this.
Trash of the Count's Family
Review: From what I’ve read so far, I freaking love this. I usually read isekais with female leads, and it was nice to see a change. I like how level-headed our protagonist is. I think that even if he claims that he’s “trash”, those around him will definitely come to another conclusion based on his actions. I also like how the hero kind of admires and serves Cale. XD I think that the novel would be a pleasure to read. I am in love with the art style and the story progression. I look forward to seeing the potential come outcome of this comic. Update: My lazy arse went zoom when I found out that the English translation of the novel was going on hiatus. When I tell you I caught up in a few days, it’s the truth. I zoomed through about one hundred chapters a day before I caught up. My former self was very right. The novel is fan-freaking-tastic. There’s no romance, only Cale and his super OP friends. I loved the action and the writing was fabulous. The manhwa is probably not going to catch up for a while, so no new content for novel readers that can only understand English. Yay. I found solace in watching Cale and his adventures. I experienced everything along with them, but all of sudden, they’re being stripped from me. It’s unfortunate that that was cut so short, but of course, I’ll respect the author’s decision. I still can’t help but be a little salty, though. I’ll just go cry in the corner, taking up space, but when Cale walks in— Comment: How does Choi Han succeed in looking so adorable when he’s so old on the inside? I could never. I didn’t imagine Cage to look like this, so it was kind of a surprise. Taylor looks really similar to what I had in mind! I wonder how they will portray the ancient powers talking to Cale. Side note: Caught up to chapter 40.
